My Windows 7 machine is crashing while posting to the metaverse. I have tried deleting the sig and registry and re-registering but that didn't do the trick. My game doesn't seem to be in the metaverse so I guess it is crashing before it posts it.

> Are these things true? If so, is there a UP resolution in effect to ban terror stars? DAMN! - That was it! Thanks Phaedyme. Damn Damn Damn - Now I feel stupid. Damn! Actually it might be nice if it had a disabled button that said why you couldn't build the thing. All the same, I am thick.
OK, thanks.
Has anyone else managed to make a terror star with the latest build (including the ship component availability patch) I don't seem to be able - no option avaialble. I am playing a custom race with a altaian tech tree if that makes a difference.
As I said the third card was fitted by my supplier and was tested by them. They said my computer could cope with it and it is working just fine. DA locks up my whole machine when I use the mouse wheel to zoom out on the map. It says there is an error flipping the buffer and the device is lost.
After upgrading my GFX card to a DX9 Shader Model 3 card, I started getting random crashes while playing DarkAvatar. I have posted about this several times. It doesn't _just_ crash it locks up my whole machine. This also happens with a few other programmes but DarkAvatar is by far the worst. The best way to crash it is to mouse wheel out the main map. That does it every time. If it manages to write the lines to the debug file it always says that it has an error flipping the
I'm fairly certain that my card is getting enough power. The new card is playing Supreme Commander perfectly! That's about all it's playing perfectly. Supreme Command has an NVidia "How it's meant to be be played" logo BTW. I'm still not certain if the card its self is OK. I ordered an ATI one and requested a return on the NVidia but the ATI was so crap I'm planning on sending that back instead.
I changed drivers again. I now get a whole new crash! Details follow: I tried upgrading again, to this: ---- 8 ForceWare Release 163 WHQL Version: 163.75 Release Date: November 6, 2007 Operating System: Windows XP, Windows XP Media Center Edition Language: U.S. English File Size: 42.0 MB * WHQL certified driver for GeForce FX, 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs. * Added support for the follow
I am also getting this bug since I upgraded to a new GFX card. I have the card working beautifully with Darwinia and Supreme Commander. With GC2 DA its crashing - REALLY CRASHING - totally taking out the computer with multi coloured snow on screen. This happens with 15 mins of starting and not when I'm particularly doing any thing either. I do sometimes get some screen flickering before so I can save. Last few lines in debug.err: Debug Message: U
Support told me to re register with SDCentral which I had already done. I tried again and it didn't work. I still have no registrations.
pndrev is right, I could post to the metaverse after I reverted to V1.8e. That doesn't explain why I don't have any registrations, though. I guess I'll wait and see if they come back tomorrow after that server maintenance.
Press the "My Account" button then press "Registrations". It's gone blank for me too. I can't post to the Metaverse any more. It just says error 12.
I still have missing strings in the new event log thing. I _DO_ now have "Ship" and "War and Peace" strings. All the others are not found. I tried changing the version in the registry so that it would download the update again but that did not fix it. Thank you
I ordered a CD of gold edition on 20th February and have not received it yet. I have e-mailed [email protected] twice now without a reply. I'm in the UK but two weeks seems a long time to wait.
I think the auto focus fixed the wrong thing. When it automatically selects the next ship with movement points left, it doesn't auto focus on the ship if it’s off the screen. This can be confusing. It shouldn't auto focus on a ship that is already on the screen. A ship that is already on the screen should just be highlighted. It should never auto focus onto a ship that has been clicked on by the mouse. If I clicked on it then it’s on the screen and I know what
