Strange, it should appear in your list of skins then. Have you tried right clicking your desktop, going to properties, then clicking the Appearance tab and seeing if the skins are listed there? I don't know if that's how you usually apply your WB skins, but that's how I do it in XP.

What c242 means is you create the graphics for your theme in something like Photoshop, and then build your theme from within DesktopX itself.
Hmmm.... no problems for me.............. when you hit "Download" does it automatically open the .wba in a temporary folder, or are you choosing where you download it to?
O.K. I don't have any of those, so I will just go and download one or two of them and see what happens. Give me a minute..........
Kinrik, you been taking "multiple post lessons" from Doreen? And I didn't know they had moles in Guaca, I never saw any when I was there!
Which one's have you downloaded that have this problem?
Macromedia's Dreamweaver is a really good program to start with. If you can get hold of a copy and just follow the tutorials that come with it, you will be bulding web pages in no time.
You won't find a better skinning site than this one. It's an honour for me to be involved with it. And, take it from me, the guys over at Stardock are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I cannot stress that enough. I sometimes deal with them "behind the scenes", and they are a real caring bunch of folks who will go out of their way to help you. And as you know, most of the admins here are volunteers, and I can tell you that they are extremely dedicated and passionate about WinCust
Get DesktopX, then your desktop can be anything you want it to be.
I think that equates to 4am-5am in England, but I don't finish work until 5am, (I work nights remember) and it's usually around 5:45am by the time I get in the house and turn the 'puter on. So it wouldn't really help me. You see Brad, this is what happens when you have an international group of helpers! Now, if you just sponsor me for my green card, I'll move over to Michigan and that will solve the problem
Installation was a complete screw up!!! Everything that could go wrong DID!! The worst thing is, I had to leave it in that state as I am now on holiday in Scotland, and it won't get fixed till friday! Fortunately, my sister has this broadband connection so I'm not missing out on my WinCusto!!
Graphicsgod: $150 may be "chump change" to you, but I can assure you it ain't to me! I have two kids a mortgage a dog and a cat. Like I said before: "If you have a big monitor and a fancy graphics card, consider yourself lucky." Looking forward to your first multi-res theme
So, Amish Boy, you think we skinners and artists are being abused? hmmmmmm...... I wonder how many of my 150 wallpapers you downloaded? If it will make you feel better you can send me $10 for each one you have, thereby bypassing Wincustomize and helping the artist directly! When can I expect my check? I won't hold my breath...................
The themes that I make are 1024x768 (at the moment) because that is the maximum resolution that I can run at on my system. It's hard to make a bigger res theme because you wouldn't be able to see where you were putting objects etc. If you have a big monitor and a graphics card that can support higher resolutions, you should consider yourself lucky as some of us can't afford to upgrade. And you could always make your own themes Graphicsgod2: with a name like that, surely you could ma
Feline: Actually I have mastered a mystical art, I studied Hypnosis for about six years. Well, I know it's not really dark or mystical, but you would be surprised how many people consider it to be so! /me swings his watch in front of Feline....."You will give me all your chocolate.....and you won't remember who you gave it to............" Note the hypnotic eyes on my icon >
Jafo: You have a musical mouse?! What chords can you play on it? when you get tired of playing tunes on it, go for the CORDLESS one (sorry Paul, couldn't resist it!) I too have the MS optical explorer, and never a
It's gone. Thanks DigitalJames! We don't know how it got through either.
STOP PRESS:: Installation postponed until Friday: Need bigger hammer: (and assistance from someone with a brain!) /me reads his motherboard manual and pretends to understand it..............
If you have DesktopX, there is a tutorial included with it I believe. Look in your DesktopX folder, it should be there. If it isn't, the tutorial can be found at http://www.desktopx.net
I was a Litestep user and themer, and stumbled across DesktopX. I soon realised I could escape from the nightmare of the .steprc! I purchased it soon after. DX gives me an awful lot of pleasure, although I am no expert. I am striving to achieve the perfect desktop, one that I won't want to change, ever! /me goes to change his theme.......again
Hippy: You crack me up!
I am about to fit a new hard drive in my system, (thanks to the generosity of a real nice person!) so if you don't see me for a while it means I have trashed my system in the upgrade. It will be nice to have more than 3Gbs of space, you wouldn't believe the amount of stuff I have to delete every month when my drive fills up with images that I make. Wish me luck, and I hope to see you soon!! <br
I use 5.5 too, and I think it's just fine as well! I tried a demo of 6 when it came out, but I just couldn't get along with it. I don't know how much you would get for your copy of 7, but if you didn't pay for it then I guess that whatever you get for it is a bonus. I hope you sell it!
I once had my variables manipulated...........Nice!
Jafo : You're coming back to England?! COOL! Is it anytime soon?, we will have to arrange a meet. Maybe you could talk my wife into getting a huge tattoo like the one your wife has!
