I am surprised at most of you. As users of technologically advanced equipment,(your computer) I thought you would embrace this kind of advancement in human transportation. I personally think this is a great idea, and when I have to wait years for my knee replacement, (which I need NOW) guess how I'm gonna get around? So, I shall laugh at you in the street as I pass by on my Segway! Incidentally, did anyone see the wheelchair that this guy invented? It's a fabulous piece of work, and real

Hi DreamerX, welcome to our little world. If you want to get into desktop customization, you will need a few programs to start customizing. You could start small, with programs like QuickNotes, or Beatnik clock, or you could go for something that completely changes the way your desktop looks and works. This would involve using something like Window Blinds, and DesktopX, or maybe even Litestep. (Litestep is not very esy for beginners though.) Once you are comfortable with the way these progra

The end of an era............ And don't forget, he also brought us some great movies, including "The Life Of Brian".
While we are on the point, I would like to mention something. Many artists and skinners do this for the love of it, but it's nice to be appreciated, so thanks to Silverado Trucker for taking the time to say so in this thread. Remember, these people do this for no reward other than your appreciation, so if you download something, just take a moment to say "thanks", or "well done". I make a point of ALWAYS commenting if I download something, it's the least I can do. I see many wonderful skins with

I tried this in my early days of windows customization. I didn't even realise it was still in development. But like most others, I soon returned to WB, for the massive and varied choice of skins and ease of use. If I remember correctly, the skinning method, (Chromumll) is very complicated. Well, it looked that way to me at the time! I think I'll stick with WB, thanks.
They should send Santa to work for NASA, because with those stats, we would have intergalactic space travel in no time! But you might feel a little stupid in your spacesuit.....red with white fur trim. Imagine what the aliens would think if the first time we met them, we were all dressed like Santa!

I don't think age matters at all, when it comes to a site like this,(or any of the others). I could have said I was 21, and no-one would have questioned it. It's more a matter of personality that's important, and I happen to think that there are some great personalities on this site. I think you drift naturally to where you feel most comfortable. /me sits down in big comfy chair and watches the world(and the skins)go by........
Well, here is Saturdays cool site. Anders Quiker is one of the best exponents of the Flash medium. This is the sixth incarnation of his site, and it's another classic. As you admire the beautiful interface, be sure to check out his excellent Photoshop tutorials, and his "Portfolio" which shows the previous five versions of his site.<br
/me bumps up the average by being 44.
I never had to exclude Litestep either, and I don't remember having problems with shrinking windows or anything like that. I love your new theme Phar0e, excellent stuff!
From today I will be giving you a daily link to a cool website. These will mostly be graphics and skinning related of course, unless they are really spectacular. Todays site is one that I only came across recently, but I really like the style. It has some very good tutorials, which I know many of you are interested in. NOTE: on th
Good point david, maybe we should follow Layne's lead and put a highly visible warning on our front page? There's always the possibility that he hasn't dicovered Layne's work yet.
And verily, the Observer DID smote him, his flowing silken robes did blow about his body as he strode into the arena, fear glistened on the assembled throng, mirroring the glisten of the mighty blade carried by the Observer. He approached the fallen one, never faltering in his stride, the blade tore the air violently as it curled above his hooded countenance, and with a blow as sure as nightfall the transgressor was removed silently and dispassionately from this mortal coil. The crowd inhaled as

I can't believe that no one has complained to him regarding their copyright. He must have his head in the sand! Surely SOMEONE must have told him that it's wrong? I agree with Valhalla, it's just a shame he can't be bothered to give due credit. Why do people do this?
/me looks at his arse to see where the other half went! Am I really a half arsed artist? Is that a compliment or an insult? Hmmm... I'm off to take a look at this site......
I used to fence too, I put a 6 foot high one right around my garden! The closest I have come to a sword is when I owned a Sunbeam RAPIER and an Oldsmobile CUTLASS.....lol. Oh, and that time I pulled one out of a big rock over by the lake.........
Jafo: en guard!! /me drops his sword and runs like a good'un...............
