Well, I always try and inject humour into this board, maybe my subtlety goes over your head

Jeneba: I mailed my replies.......
/me likes writing in a different color!!
I think education is the key here, Brad. The internet is generally seen as a big "free for all", and because people tend to do these things from the safety of their own houses, they don't feel they are doing wrong, or they don't think anyone will notice, or they don't think that artists are protective of their work. I think it will take a high profile case against an individual to ram it home. If people see an "ordinary guy" get hammered for all he is worth, it may just start to sink in.
*sigh*... I'll never get to go to the skinners ball...... Where is that damn fairy godmother.......?
T-Man: Are these shoes shiny enough for you? Jafo: What kind of sandwich did you want? Alex: Can I stop Massaging now? the oils is burning my hands! Frogboy: Please don't make me do THAT again!! hehe.......
Hmmm.... I use all the same stuff as Treetog. So how come he's so much better than me???!!! DAMN! He must have newer versions of the software. lol. (Well, I can dream can't I?) Seriously though, I am usually inspired by other peoples work. I set out to try and make something similar, and at some point it just goes off at a tangent, and I just go with it. It never ends up looking like the piece I was inspired by, but I occasionally get good results. With regard to finis
You shouldn't have to convert .bmp's or png's, DesktopX can use both formats. However, if I remember rightly, it won't display .gif,s. If you give a more detailed explanation of what you are trying to achieve, it will be easier to help you:)
I'm too busy to comment on the board, T-Man has got me scrubbing the floors and polishing all the skins. I never thought being a Wizop would be so hard! Have to go, I have to paint the walls in the new wallpaper section and make coffee for the other admins!
You could check a couple of things: First, in the objects properties, in the "Relation" section, where it says POP-UP,at the bottom, make sure it says "Menu (closed on any action)". Secondly, in the section called "Summary", make sure your object has an individual "Object ID". If you are still having trouble, try downloading a theme that has drop down menus, and check the settings in their properties. ( two of my themes have drop down menus, "Notes" and "Boxed") Hope this helps.
NoMercy: There is a great tutorial for starting out on DesktopX over at Stardock. Here is the link: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/tutorial/default.htm Read it through and then experiment with some pre-existing themes, and before long you will be building your own from the ground up! Theming for DX is great fun, so get stuck in. If you need any help, you can always e-mail me at [email protected] <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/boxxi.gif" border=0 ALIG
To start a match, one player "serves" a Photoshop image to the other. The opponent takes the image, adds a new element to create a whole new picture and returns it to the serving player. For example, the houses of parliament could be sent to the USA, given a new paint job, and then be sent back for more tweaking. The rally carries on as ea
Bill: Don't forget the sounds in "What is the Matrix"! Crazy sounds, but great fun all the same.
Good Good!
Sorry to hear of your mother's accident Mike, I hope she regains her old self very soon. I personally do not drink at all, partly because of some of the reasons you mention above, but mainly because I don't need to drink to have a good time. Also I have two small children, and I could never endanger them for the sake of a drink, how would I live with myself if I hurt them? And this is something that everyone should consider.....You have to live with the consequences of your actions, and bel
Ahh yes, Classic skins!! Chrometube, AliBaba, I've had them since you first made them David. Great stuff, Great site!
Holgi: In case you didn't know, the famed "Skinz.org" is back online. It doesn't quite look the same as it did before, but most of the old crew are there. http://www.skinz.org
Peepod: I agree with c242. I used to be a dedicated Litestepper, but now I run Desktop X exclusively. It has never crashed once, and once you discover the vast array of brilliant themes, and how easy it is to change them and get your computer working just how YOU want it to, you won't want to change it back, believe me. Just give it a chance, wait until you have tried a few themes and different looks, and I'm certain you will be back for more. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smil
Muletman: I don't know how much you know about desktop customization, but just to avoid confusion, if you are going to use skins and themes you will need the programs that they are made for, i.e., IconPackager, DesktopX, Window Blinds etc. You can get shareware versions of most of these if you haven't already got them. Have Fun!!
This happened to me too, but it only happened when I changed to Windows ME. Before that I had never had any problem with Litestep at all. The strange thing is, it fixed itself when I loaded one of Jafo's themes and the problem never arose again. So, maybe you should get one of his themes and see if it fixes it for you too!
Well, I just posted MY thoughts.
Bill: it turns out that it was sheer co-incidence, I knew nothing about this until just a couple of days ago:) Maybe I'm psychic!! ;0
Hehe.. Jafo, Extension CHORDS? In the key of C ?
Damn! Does this mean I have to behave myself now? Crae: You remember that stupid Dudley Moore movie too? I think it was called "Crazy People"? Jafo, Can I borrow your knife? Right, where are those walls.............?
Yeah, here it is.. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=bob+xp&library=3&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&Themes=on&image1.x=19&image1.y=17 You will need the latest version of DX to run it, and it must be the registered version too, I believe.
