Paul: The things you go through to get people 'steppin' eh? You have the patience of a .......... er.... very patient thing. lol.
BoXXi
Brad, I don't consider this an inconvenience at all. It's a necessity to keep the site running smooth. If people are not going to register the software, yet still d/load many megs of skins, then it's just tough luck if they get turned off. Do what you have to, because this is an excellent site, and I want it to stay that way.
Paul, if you were responsible for finding Cees, Thanks alot, I appreciate it. And, you don't need money, your old age pension must be pretty good!
CEES!! Hey buddy, good to see you. It's about time you brought your talent to WinCusto, I hope we see some stuff from you soon. I hate ICQ, and besides, I don't have any room on my pathetic hard drive for it! Check your e-mail Cees........
Oh Dear! the stiffness, the senility creeping in, policemen all look 14 years old. Wait 'till you hit 30, then it REALLY bites, lol! All the best Paul, hope you can still lift the flag at the GP. He He. Have a cold one on me.
I recently checked out all the old themes at Litestep.com too! I really enjoyed it, and I even learned to love the "Wharf" again! lol. Litestep was the reason I started desktop customization, I just stumbled across a screenshot of a theme while surfing, and I never looked back.
Still haven't heard from Ceeslans, If anyone knows where he hangs out please let him know that I need to speak with him. Thanks.
Phar0e: Thanks a million, you are a star. I just hope he replies. Jafo: I had icq once, but I hated it. I find Yahoo messenger just as good, but without all the crap! dethnite: I'm assuming Trillian is just the same as ICQ?
I have just found his ICQ number, but I don't have ICQ. Could one of you nice people send him a message to contact me? his number is 47192293. My e-mail is [email protected] Thanks in anticipation.
I have been trying to get in touch with a Litestep themer called Cees Lansbergen, known as Ceeslans. He used to hang out at Litestep.net before it went down. The e-mail address that I have for him is no longer active, and I was hoping maybe one of you guys has a newer address. Or maybe you know where he hangs out now? I really need to speak with him, so if you see the name on your travels, let him know I am looking for him. Thanks guys!
I was totally shocked and disgusted by todays events. I cannot begin to express my outrage at the people who perpetrated this evil act. I hope the U.S. find these people and deal with them in a way that befits the crime.
Snowman: I couldn't get that original page to work, I think there's a problem with it. That's why I put up that other link.
Nightlife is a skinnable launcher, it's a nice little program. For those who have been having trouble downloading it from the homesite, I managed to find it here..http://www.tweakfiles.com/appearance/nightlife.html Expect some skins from me soon. Admins: could we have a section for this?
Go ahead and take the plunge Phar0e. I was a dedicated stepper until I started having problems with newer Litestep builds on my system, so I began to play with DX. I really like it now,(I even bought it!) and I find I can do more or less what I did with Litestep. The main advantage of DX is not having to mess with a step.rc, which I find makes it quicker to put together a theme. One thing that I do miss is the pop-ups in Litestep, if DX had the same thing I would love it even more. I must po
Madice: I thought you were in Europe! You mean you would go all the way to Oz just to meet an old reprobate like Jafo? /me runs off real quick before he gets back........ WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!
To use Desktop X themes you need the Desktop X program, which you can get a demo version of at https://www.stardock.com If you like it, you can then register it for about $20. Yes it will work with ME. Most of the skins and themes that you see here are to skin programs, but you must first have that program on your system before you can use them. Have fun!
I think it's a great idea, and I agree that being quite central, Belgium is a good place to hold it. Unfortunately, I would not be able to attend, as it's just too far to travel for me. I couldn't justify the cost, and the time away from my work and family.
Smug? does that mean incredibly handsome? Here, something for you to do....... Antidisestablishmentarianism. intercontinentalballisticmissile. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. /me walks off with incredibly handsome look on his face!
Metaphors.......hehe.......gotcha!
Wait for DWM's tutorial, he let me preview it and it's EXCELLENT!!!
No Alex, I did make a couple of joke XP walls a while ago, and even they are rated o.k.
I deleted two of my walls from the site yesterday. They had been rated once, and given a score of 1. I was sad to see them rated that way, as I don't really believe my work is that bad, but I deleted them anyway. This is why I hate this rating system, especially as it's anonymous. If people had to leave their name with their rating I believe they would not rate at all, as there would be questions asked of them if they rated something ridiculously low for no apparent reason. Please get rid of
I think the logo is beautifully designed, but in my country a Skinner is a gypsy who rides around in a beat up truck collecting broken appliances to sell for scrap value. So you can understand why I won't be buying one! I too would prefer one that said WinCustomize.
Don't you think that Hitler's moustache made him look like a Nazi?
Hey Bill, I wasn't offended. Only by the guy that ripped me. Don't worry about it.
