DotNET Framework 2.0 Beta in Software Development WinCustomize Forums

Okay, I see the Final is out for .NET 2. But see, I got this thing where I can't uninstall the Beta. Safe mode won't let me, you know cuz it doesn't have access to the service needed. So How do I get rid of the Beta and install the Final?? Anyone out there have suggestions equating to positive result? TIA

Okay, so all I did is MSN search for "gmail" and I can sign up for the beta. So I don't see what all the fuss is about having this cell phone code number. I don't see the greatness of "moving" my email to gmail, except for more space.

If you are running WinXP, or 2k: 1 right-click on the desktop 2 click "properties" 3 click "settings" Where it says "color quality" is a drop-down box. You'll want it to display "highest(32 bit)" for best Windowblinds display.

Alpha Per-Pixel theory... in WindowBlinds WinCustomize Forums

This persons question got me thinking. Wonder if you wizzes out there have any input into this. The theory: Where does all the great glass effects and other per-pixel effects go when you maximize? Is is possible to author the skin so that when you maximize a window, you do not loss the glass border that is in some skins. I haven't had the good fortune of getting a good skin made, as I don't have a good graphic editor like PhotoShop or such

I don't see it as a problem. I see it as a limitation. When you maximize the screen, the window is instructed to take up the full space of the screen. Most of the per-pixel alpha is about what lies just outside the window, like shadows, glass effects and all that. So of course when you max a window, there is no screen left for the effects.
