Electronic Arts has released some more details on their upcoming sequel to The Sims 2 . The unimaginatively named The Sims 3 will be launching globally in 2009 for PCs everywhere.
Consider getting SimCity 4. You can put your sims into the city and watch how they like the city you build. Plus the animation and day/night cycles are superb.
That is the only reason why I played The Sims 2 as long as I did. I just wanted to get a family to have them live in my city lol. Sims 2 is just not my bad, but I can see how it can suck people in.
As many of you have heard the HD-format war is in fact dead. Toshiba announced in late February that they would cease development of HDDVD drives and players after every single movie studio went exclusive to BluRay aside from Universal. To be honest I did not think that HDDVD had much chance against BluRay. Although I believe, as a consumer, that HDDVD is the better option, due to its low cost and backwards compatibility, I knew that Toshiba beating Sony was unlikely.
Lord of the Rings Online has been successful enough to warrant its first expansion. The MMORPG was launched in late April 2007 to solid reviews and has since seen a number of free content updates, or Books, as they are called. Although LotR Online is nowhere near the level of popularity of World of Warcraft , which ca

Sad news today as Ubisoft has once again delayed the PC edition of their multi-million selling title Assassin's Creed . The company has pushed the critically acclaimed title back to April 8. To top it off an Ubisoft Forum Moderator
Very scary indeed. A bunch of co-workers and I talked it over at lunch and pretty much came to the conclusion that the education on sex is just terrible. I was the youngest of the bunch and remember my school having trouble getting sex ed into the school due to people preaching abstinence should be the only thing taught as you shouldn't be having sex anyways (religious groups). Abstinence is obviously the best way to avoid such things, but be realistic, it is simply not going to be th

Actually they probably would have realized their crack didn't work correctly and fixed it, kinda besides the point though.
See, I told you guys I would still bring you the love, but unfortunately, my latest review will not be coming here. As I told you guys in December, I got a new writing gig at GamingTarget.com and they are running my review of Intelligent Systems' solid turn-based strategy title, <a id="q:jy" title="Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance" href="http://www.gamingtarget.com/article.ph
The rumors are true, Infogrames is looking to take Atari private. Infogrames, who already owns a majority stake in the ailing game company, has sent a letter to Atari's Board of Directors expressing its interest in buying out the rest of the company for $1.68 per share. Infogrames holds the right
Personally, I am more excited for LEGO Batman!
I understand that, but if you check the External Link, you will see that they never claimed to have any sort of warning message at all. Either way, to me it is sad that Iron Lore got tagged as releasing a buggy game due to bad pirates. I mean, if you were pirating a game and it crashed, wouldn't you think it was a bad crack first?
LucasArts Entertainment has dated their next title in the anticipated LEGO cross-branding series. LEGO Indiana Jones will be hitting shelves for all platforms on June 3 with the PC edition coming
They could have included any number of messages, from say some specific code like 'Error 190238' that just tell tech support guys that the DRM has found a problem, or something more blatant like 'DRM circumvention detected, shutting down.' I agree that this wouldn't have stopped the crackers, nothing will, but it would have stopped people from believing the game was buggy, when in fact it wasn't, it was a bad crack causing the crashes.
We reported on the closure of Iron Lore Entertainment last week much to our chagrin. While it is sad to see such a talented company stop its development it is even more sad that THQ, their publisher, blames the closure largely on piracy. THQ director of creative management Michael Fitch took the time yesterday to draft a long rant on the Quarter to Three forums where he ranted on piracy and the messed up
Late last year, SCi, the parent company of Eidos, announced that they would be entertaining offers to buy out the company. Unfortunately, no deals were made, although there were numerous rumors of in-depth talks that leaked out over the year. Nevertheless, SCi has now announced that they will be undergoing a restructuring plan to keep themselves afloat. In the video game industry you can read restructuring as “layoffs and cancellations” of which SCi has in spades. The company has ann
Take-Two Interactive just wanted to point out to everyone that Electronic Arts is not the only company interested in them. Currently, the maker of Grand Theft Auto (and numerous other titles) is not in any kind of merger talks, or even received any formal offers from interested parties but since Electronic Arts offered to buy Take-Two earlier this week, the publisher has received "informal indicat
A few days ago we announced that Dead Space would be coming out on Halloween, but what we didn't know was if the announced release date covered the PC edition of the title along with the new-gen consoles. Although Electronic Arts failed to get back to us, they did answer Eurogamer's inquiry into the matter, and it is good news, Dead Space will be released on all three platforms at the same time. Apparently someone didn't get the memo that PC should have been added to th
