the specs you have typed out Hurley it should run Xp with no problems the Bios should have nothing to do with whether XP runs or not the key factors are p 233 or higher and 96 meg of ram (yes they say it'll run in 64 but its slower then heck) your machine is more then capable.... ~SDC~

Hurley, Cari asked me to do some checking on stuff for ya....what was the OS the puter had when you got it new? cause downgrading to a os thats older then the 1 that came with it isn't gonna have the drivers the hardware needs to run right at all if the puter came with lets say XP home downgrading to 98se isn't a good idea ~SDC~

Cari today explained to me in great detail what would be involved in fixing the disappearing ship bug......she said about 10 things that would have to be changed in the "deep gut of pear" to fix the bug I summarised what she had said with "Royal pain huh?" and she laughed and said yes :) so the chances of it being fixed in my opinion are about zip especially since it can be dealt with by a quick save and reload ~SDC~

oh it does ALOT of thinking :) its thinking of ways to humilate you completely then rub it in your face when it does :) like these for instance You are defeated. It is useless to resist. Don't make us destroy you utterly. When we get done with you, you'll wish you had stayed up in the trees of East Africa where you belonged. Grovel now and we may let you live. Maybe. You humans are pitiful warriors. Maybe you are better at begging. Let's see how well you do.

they are aware of the can't load save games problem with Altarian Phrophecy the stuff isn't fully there its the 1st beta don't expect it to be complete already the reason they released it was to let us play with the editors nothing more actually they really shouldn't even be calling it a beta at this point cause alot of the stuff isn't in it yet the full release isn't supposed to be out till sometime in Febuary Give the gang time to get it finished before yo

on a gigantic galaxy and lots of ships etc it can take awhile after each turn cause the game has to do alot of calculating for the AI's and etc especially the further along in the game you are.....if you can move your mouse the game isn't crashed....the only "crashes" I've seen Gal civ do is drop you back to the desktop....as for just freezing....no on my older then dirt Internet sharing box which is way below the p 3 600 mhz minimum it plays you wanna talk bout slow and acting like its froze :)
