I use Faststone's Capture with no problems. Ctrl>Prt Sc works If you're looking for something free, Awesome Screenshot in the Chrome Extension store works in the browser AND will take screenshots of your desktop from the browser as well. Hope you get it worked out. :)
I've never used Edge
I find myself using it more and more. For me, it's been incredibly fast. You can even set it to a dark theme, which is nice. I've seen your posts and understand your reservations about Windows 10. I was a bit leery at first, myself. But after using it for the past few months, I have to say it's the nicest version of Windows I've used so far. It's been so much m

I'm loving Fences 3. Really love the 'Roll-Up' option! Nice. I have only one little issue. My 'Rolled-Up' fences like to drop icons. They will roll back up and leave an icon all alone on the desktop and I have to put it back in the fence. Suddenly, I'm herding icons. lol. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough that it's annoying. <
Hm, it left ALL my old apps/programs untouched.
There have been several articles in Lifehacker and PC World since January that highlight how 'aggressive' Microsoft is getting with their Windows 10 'campaign' (for lack of a better word). There are even reported instances of Windows 10 updates 'uninstalling' Chrome. Even better,, they reported when you use Explorer or Edge to try and download and reinstall, th

mind blown. [e digicons]o_O[/e] The next question is....can this be applied to or work just as well with integrated graphics? For instance, some noob like me thinks he has bought this awesome gaming rig with integrated graphics and finds out it's not all it's cracked up to be and still has serious limits....will this apply to such a situation or would I still have to buy two cheap cards and totally abort the integrated graphics? This &nbs
I guess in the future I'll wait a few weeks before installing any updates.
I came to the same decision as well. https://forums.wincustomize.com/476004/page/1/#3624836 I had started a thread the day after it happened. There is a link there for the beta fix they did, which I applied and it works fine...but since then they have done
I recently had a problem with Windows 10 x64 where the start menu would no longer respond.
Had this happen on first install, back in Oct or Nov. The screen wqould go black as well. I ended up just doing a clean install of the OS instead of the upgrade and it solved the issue.
One of the things that I noticed was that shortly before this occurred the desktop icons on my dual monitor set up had shifted from one monitor to the other. [/

Thanks, Doc. I'll check it out. I see it pop up here and there with other search engines as an option to choose from, just didn't know if it was better or what. I've always been happy with Google. I can't get used to Bing and I refuse to use Yahoo based on past experience as unfair as that may sound. I'll check it out.

DOC...sorry, I got nosy and took a close look at your screen shot. I have 2 questions. Are you running Windows 10? And if so, how the hell did you get Live Writer to work on it? I was unable to but found a version of it that is being made by it's original creators that does run and it's open source. It's called 'OpenLive Writer" <img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; ma

But according to my wife, there is nothing wrong with baby owls and puppy dogs and sea scapes. Nothing at all. Infact, she insists that that is all I really need to be happy in this life....or did she say her life...I get so confused in all the screaming.

The trick is...you have to 'share it' on Facebook or Twitter to unlock all 1000+ themes. Cheeky lil' bastards. This is new and it looks like they will be adding more 'formats' from static jpg's to animated jpg's, and 'live wallpapers'. The one with the owl is creepy. And for the guys...well....can you ever have enough scantily clad women whose hair softly rustles in the breeze? (MY wife says that you actually can have enough..o

Take the plunge! I have to admit that I have really enjoyed diving in to Windows 10. The Windowblinds beta that is out works nicely with it so far. What I really like and was surprised by is Stardocks Start 10. Right out of the box, the stock skins along with all the available settings are great. Being able to customize the entire task bar, button, and start window just with this app will keep you busy exploring all of the settings and possibilities. I had passed over Start 8 an
This wasn't a forced update issue, it was just a screwed up driver update issue
Yup. One of the guys I game with who builds his own rigs scolded me. Said he had the same drivers from Nov. 2015. He told me to wait and see who crashes and burns first and let the update be patched/fixed and then download it. I'm just anal about keeping everything updated. I guess I need to take a step back and reth

I downloaded the latest Game Ready Driver yesterday from NVIDIA when the Game Ready App alerted me it was available and fell victim to the BSOD as did thousands of others. It took me a bit to even discover I was not alone and it was actually not my fault for a change. I did manage to boot into repair mode and I did a system restore. A lot of people were not even able to do that. I can attest to the fact that constant rebooting only got me the BSOD over and over. There
Sorry for going off topic, Po, but I thought it important to let folks know.
No problem as i think it actually has a lot to do with whether or not we'll be seeing updates for a lot of software, Stardock or other. BTW - I did a separate download and install of Soundpackager (without using the ODN Manager). I installed it as Administrator and set it for Windows 7 compatibility and it has been w
This is bad news, i was hoping i would hear something like "we are working on it" expect a beta next month. At the risk of repeating myself in a message I sent on the side, I always felt that IP went hand in hand with Windowblinds and CursorXP.
