I have updated the "featured item" text on Stardock Central for the base game to indicate that it includes the Expanded Universe features. I don't think that changed the versioning at all for anyone, but just FYI. Also, we are working on making sure that Stardock Central does not prompt when there are no more updates. That should be all set Friday.

There is actually some code in there already for privateers or raiders. We had discussed that before the 1.0 release and I don't know if/when it'll be fleshed out. But, I'll be in here pushing for it. ;-)
This is the second report I've seen of them having included a cd check with the german version.
Enter the email address you ordered under into the form at http://www.stardock.com/support and it'll resend it to you. I've already looked it up for you and done this.
We fixed this, go ahead and grab it now.
We introduced a bug last week. This is fixed now.
The beta, slightly. It has support for loading via the MCP.
Janx, that site is so full of it I don't even know where to start.
The MFC error and the skin crash on installing should be fixed with the 1.10a SDC that's available now (restart it, it'll auto-update). I don't know about dated libraries, not going to look until next week.
Let me clarify: the standalone browser is not going away and WC subscribers can continue to use that. But, it's hard to dislike it being available through SDC to registered users as well. There's also a new tray component coming next week for WC subscribers. It'll notify you as to new updates, new skins, and more. If you've got SDC or the WC Browser installer, it works in conjunction with them as
What irritates me is the fixation on the jackasses who modded the root virus. I don't care about some idiot in Romania who went after his teacher or some moron in the US who coded his handle as part of it. Get the person (people) who started it in the first place and make an example of them.
I have eaten burgers from coast to coast, on buns to toast. Fuddruckers (chain in midwest and elsewhere) is as good as it gets for a chain. Mom and pop's here and there, but overall, they rock. Fatburger is pretty cool on the west coast as well. Esp. at 3am on the Strip or in LA. In-And-Out Burger is decent as well, but they're no Fuddruckers. Next time, let's consider in the context of the fries as well. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0
So far, knock on wood, I've only had 2 start to rot on me. Both were burned in 1997. I'm not so good about storing them when they've first been burned, but eventually they get filed away horizontally somewhere dark.
ODNT and standalone dx2 customers already have access to this build. It's 1.99g.
The news server index has been rebuilt and its back online.
As of 10am Saturday (GMT-5), most everything should be back up and running. Anyone with existing Stardock Central accounts should have continued to be able to download components and updates over the course of the problems. Orders and the support page to send your serials from https://www.stardock.com/support are now back as well. There will be some catching up over the next couple of days, especially as its the weekend.
Use REGEDIT.EXE and wipe out the value referencing MSBLAST.EXE at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Reboot. \windows\system32\msblast.exe (location may vary slightly depending on OS) should now no longer be running. Get rid of it. Use WindowsUpdate to make sure you're patched or grab it by following the links for your OS from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp
Look, for all practical purposes a 9x version of WindowBlinds 4 is sucking down GDI resources like there's no tomorrow. Either we're going to have to find something clever, consider paring back supported controls on 9x, or some sort of combination of the above. And there won't be a galciv in german directly from us.
You download it as an update through Stardock Central, unless you have the standalone registered version. Once again, things moved more quickly than we budgeted for. All the enhanced 4.1 builds for 2k/xp are now up.
Anything before 4:30 EST off SDC wasn't "it" yet. I'm sorting one issue with defaults on 2000 right now but I think everything's set.
I'm the only one who packages the updates. Since I don't get "do-overs" on the shareware ones and I can replace the ones for registered users at any time, the shareware builds tend to get built first. In this case, download.com responded far faster than has previously been the case.
The version from download.com is a shareware version for Windows XP only. It is completely self-contained and will update a 4.0 shareware. The enhanced version for registered users is available for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. And those will be up in the next hour or so.
Download.com was a touch too efficient. I'm getting the enhanced builds up now on CM/SDC and for registered users via https://www.stardock.com/support (enter the email address you ordered under).
The server needed to be brought up on a new network segment with different dns' and whatnot.
Because there was some issue with an INI file that I couldn't figure out that kept causing problems for updates. It's been modified to link to the 0.95 download through cnet.
