Ok thank you, One more thing: Is it possible to make a transparent taskbar too? Maybe kind of a stupid question Greez Roman
Hi Roman, it is possible, just make you graphic transparent and mark the checkbox "This image uses transparency", on SkinStudio.

Mirsguy: the issue #1: Windows 7 reserve a are on top right of your start menu for the user picture so you must make the top margim for the right side of your start menu @ 40 pixels issue # 2: I believe I e-mailed you a fix for that today. Issue # 3: right now the setting for thta part on Ski

I love the new super bar, "fat" as was told here. It's not a taller version of the previous windows taskbars, the usability/user experience with Windows7 Taskbar + task preview + jump list is the best desktop experience I had in many, many years. I believe everyone should try Windows 7 (and WB7) with the new taskbar for at least a month before telling what is better in general. This is only MY own opinion based in my experience with Windows 7 and
Soooo... umm.. bump.. I guess..
"." After some tests I found a fiz for the toolbar adding hwight to the taskbar when in "Use small Icons" mode, 1 - Follow what I said in the post #131 "Not really, all that you need to do is enable the setting "Use Vista style positioning" on SkinStudio (Start Button > Button > Extra Tab), this will center the button making them look like Windows's Aero."

John: As I said @ #131, I tweaked the skins myself and I also heard they where updated and may "come out" in a update. My point was that the problem sollution wasn't what you point, was a sinple setting to set on SkinStudio. "Enable the setting "Use Vista style positioning" on SkinStudio (Start Button > Button > Extra Tab), this will center the button making them look like Windows's Aero."

Hello guys, good day. After seeing this complains about the skins in "small icons" mode I decided to test things. There's no need to get angry here thought. John, you're a great skinner but I believe you're mistaken in some of your complains up there, right now WB7 is in bata stage, so all WB7 skins shipping with it should be considered in beta state too. I got all skins mentioned here and test and tried to tweak them all to investigate what could cause the reported issu

@ RedBuzzard"compact start panel is not a WB feature or even a OS feature, its a skin based trick, so compact menus depend on the skinner to make it. One observation is that compact start menus may work only for XP as Vista and Windows 7 no longer have icon on the right side of the start menu, the user picture fades in to the icon for the item you mouse over.

Knightsofwar210: you getting that issue cause the details panel text is not skinnable on XP, not by default, the text is hard coded black. You can fix it in two ways, or changing the sidebar background color to a lighter one where you can read black text or add custom XML (they have this extension: .UIFile) files to the ski

@ gmc2 and messiah1: I plan in writing a full skinning dock based in SkinStudio experience (based in screenshots and comments, so almost zero code to added by hand), but then we need WB7 and new SKS released as final versions. @ I.R. Brainiac:About "not seeing pressed state being used at all", that's cause Windows 7 taskbar buttons do not use the pressed state (graphic) by default, if you unload WB and try it, you can confirm, only Pinned programs have pressed state.
