Ok, I played with it and did not find what I was looking for. I found a function to adjust the skin color, but not to remove ANY color from ANY application. In other words - all I want to see on my monitor is eather white, gray or black. That's how Micro$oft does it during theme change and shutdown. However they do it briefly, I want to keep it that way.

Hi all - I'm new, sorry When I change from one theme to another, windows xp gradually looses colors and shows the desktop gray scaled until the theme is changed successfully.
