I've been a tech for 15 years. Also a Microsoft Certified Professional along with many other certifications there is no need to bore you all with. Vista in itself is the best Operating System, Microsoft has ever released. (Of course that's in my own humble opinion. For whatever that is worth) Regular End-Users and Techies alike both complain the MOST about Vista being harder to use. WRONG!. Vista is a heck of a lot easier to use! And what's funny is, no one seems to ever

Yeah, I'll have to do that for RC2.. I'm out of DVDs.. My Bro has issues with RC1. He has a Raedon 9800 and a 24-Bit Audigy 2 Card.. Wonder if that's your issue as well?... Luckily, I haven't had any issues with my setup.. Though I'm rated a "1" since my 9100 on-board doesn't support Aero. Otherwise, I'd be a 4.

I'm running 5728 currently.. The "limited" RC1 Beta.. I'd say it's around the same as 5600 though to be honest (the first RC1).. All I am unhappy about is my Logitech MX5000 not working properly. Meaning it's USB Bluetooth Hub still doesn't work. However, even if Logitech doesn't update by Vistas RTM, I'll still buy it. I'm convinced it's a far superior OS to any others I've used before. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif"

Hm interesting.. If anyone else has a problem that they aren't signed up for CPP... Just use phone activation.. The customer service rep. was more than cooperative in giving me the 48-digit code to activate. Pretty cool. Guess they figure the copies will explode about June anyways so why argue. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0

yes, if you look at the full retail version... come on. who of you people here are going to be buying anything other than the upgrade version..? Not saying mine is.. But I'd believe strongly if someone is running Pirated versions of XP.. And I know a FEW even on here.. then yeah.. I'd doubt "just

The Deal is; If you have a legitimate product key that you recieved from Microsoft, then you may download Vista RC1 and use it. If you did not participate in the the Beta2 testing though and have not received a legitimate product key, then you will have to wait for the CCP to open up. Hope that explains it. Speedy

Flawless... That's about all I have to say about that. I'll tell you what.. I was extrememly pessimistic over Vista.. But now running RC1 (Build 5600).. I can say, I'll be upgrading as soon as possible!... May remember me mentioning about WMP 11 not importing all 80,000+ files I have, that is no more.. Running on Vista.. WMP 11 is flawless... And so is IE 7 (it seems).. I'm soo impressed.. I said hell with it and did a

Yeah.. I'd say Beta 2 is better than the first... However, some notable problems... -WMP is "trying" to become iTunes.. As noticable of a rip off it looks with URGE.. -I have roughly 80,000 files to import... And it errors out whenever I try (same as I did in Beta 1).. I'd like to see "massive library support". Or importation if you'd prefer that term...

Great Addition Zoomba. I was going to post about this myself... Mozilla Firefox 2 Beta 2 offers the following, for those wanting to try it out: (I'd highly recommend.. Seems very nice soo far. However, certain add-ons and themes won't be compatible with the new version.) What's New in this Development Milestone There is a lot in Firefox 2 Beta 2 that you can play around with and give us feedback on: * A new the

This is a "touchy subject" for anyone really.. Though, the obviousness of the situation shall hold true to this topic... Companies shouldn't "Lock Down" the net.. That's just stupid and in many ways irresponsable on their bahalf... However, using "Web Blocking" software such as WebSense (to name one).. Is probably the best way to handle the situation. Allow only sites that would be beneficial for company use.

I'm a "die hard" FireFox user. I "stepped up" from Opera to Firefox well over a year ago, and is where I stand. HOWEVER, I've been following the IE7 activity. I've downloaded the betas and now this Release Candidate... I will say, Microsoft as well as, IE has come a long way in providing a great browsing experience. I'm not here to start a "browser war".. So I won't say what IE is missing, even though it's obvious... <br/

Not to say ALL skinning sites are "bad" and I won't mention the ones that are. But, WinCustomize.com is just one of the few I'll name out there that still has integrity. There is absolutally NO spyware, adware or anything of the above to be "caught" from this site. WinCustomize.com's Staff as I've said, has intergrity. You'll never "catch" any "bad stuff" here!
