Same problem, get all the way down to the last world in the game and a ship from a defeated race is sitting on the world. Can't attack either the ship or the planet.

I'm stuck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice now and haven't been able to get back into the game. No idea what is happening and no exception reports are being generated.
Ok, more story to add. I uninstalled and reinstalled Galciv. Got into the game fine, loaded my saved game, captured the last world and went to the screen to submit my score. I typed in my bona fides and hit the submit button. The button turned green and I waited, and waited, and waited. Could not tab out, could not ctr-alt-del, nothing. Had to do a hard reboot. It appears that once I get a single crash such as the restore game, load game crash or get hung up such as trying
Well, my old friend the black screen of death is back. When I start the screen the Stardock and Gal Civ screens come and go then I get hung on a black screen. I can move the mouse around but cannot ctr-alt-del to restart the computer. I have to do a manual shut down. Previously I just used old fashioned persistence to finally get into the game and didn't have this problem for several days. I'll try to uninstall and reinstall the game later.
Same here. I've noticed restore last game does not take you to the same turn as the saved game. Restore took me several turns prior to my last saved game. When I tried to load the saved game from the options menu I crashed.
I get to the last screen. Type in name and email, hit submit and get "String not found" message. Sitting here with 137,484 and can't submit the score :sniff!:
Couple more suggestions. Would it be possible to sort the build or research lists by the length of build or research time? Also is there a way to determine if a planet is building an improvement on the planet list? I find myself going thru the entire list one planet at a time to make sure they aren't idle.
I kept trying to start the game and rebooting my system between attempts. I finally shut the computer down and waited about 5 minutes and was able to get back into the game. No idea what was going on.
I think I was mistaken about this new error causing the exception report I included in my first post. I looked at the date/time for that file and it corresponds to when I was experimenting with the options and restore game menu. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. However, am still experiencing game lockup. If I try to use any keyboard or mouse inputs during the title screens the game freezes immediately. If I don't do anything the game loads the stardock title screen and the ga
I've noticed the same thing with autoturn as the others are reporting with one exception. If all my ships are on auto-pilot or sentry, guard duty then the turn button has to be pushed to advance the turn. Otherwise, if I'm moving one of my ships myself then the game acts as though autoturn is on and advances by itself.
I'm currently uninstalling galciv and trying to reinstall to see if that helps.
I apologize for not staying active on the boards but my worksite installed some new internet filters that restrict my access to non 'official' websites. Alpha 10 is looking pretty impressive. Anyway, I was able to download Alpha 10 last night and ran into troubles already. I went thru race the game generation screens and started on turn one. I hit escape to bring up the menu screen to turn off the auto turn. I clicked on the main menu button and was taken back to the resto
Is there a way to repair ships? I've tried not moving them, moving them into systems, etc and sometimes I get a 1 point restoration of their hit points and then nothing else.
In the prior alphas the anomaly message popped up when you moved onto the special. Now they don't pop up until you hit the end turn button. I use autopilot sometimes to within a couple tiles of a special and then manually move my ship onto the special.
Can do when I get home from work. I normally play with autoturn off. I did trying restoring and changing autoturn selection and that would extend the play time a little on some restores but eventually same problem would crop up. Could someone provide the folder name and file name that I should send to Cari? Thanks
Howdy Hound. Nice to see you are still around and hope things are looking up for you. Its hard to judge what is happening with MOO3 at this stage. I still visit the boards there every once in a while but the dearth of information coming out of QS makes me quite uneasy. My favorite games are empire building strategy game with turn based having the edge over RTS. However, with my turn based I expected them to be a micromanagement dream come true. The proposed IFP system for M
Bump, same problem here. Sometimes restoring game delays this process for while but inevitably it reoccurs.
Oops, sorry for posting this problem twice. It appears to be the same problem in the 'Alpha 5 Turn button not clickable' message.
Oh yeah, the new background looks nice; however, sometimes the blue colored specials are hidden in the blue splotch background.
Howdy all, At first I thought it was the same end of turn probelm with some of the previous alpha builds where the game would freeze up when you hit the end turn button. This one is different. I can go around and move ships, engage in combat, buy facilities, etc after I hit the end turn button. The game doesn't freez, it just won't advance to the next turn. This problem isn't generating a smart exception report either. Cunak
Oh forgot some positives too. A lot more stable than previous build.

Oops, just realized I may have autoturn on, while have to check the settings.
I think I'd prefer not to have a certain icon tied to a certain outcome or type of outcome. I'd prefer the randomness of the event.
In the prior build I would move all my ships and then have to hit the turn button to advance to the next month. In this build when I move my last ship in the turn the month automatically advances without me hitting the turn button.
