I'll assume the lack of activity here is due to the fact that you are all out making the galaxy a safer more hospitable place...
GTD... Cool! One of the Mrs. Da Moose's friend works in a game store much as you describe. CivFanatics.. Also cool. I registered there a little while ago after I picked upi CivIV. I'll have to go for a visit.
I agree. [Rant On] The organization and layout is poor. Based off of the Wincustomize site by the look and feel, and I don't much like that layout either... it sucs actually (Opps... inside voice, Da Moose, inside voice). It's MS centric, which make sense give the kind of s/w SD makes, but still... it doesn't look that much bett
Morming DG. I see you been spending all your time in design... Any actual use of the above hull desgin involded? After all the aliens are a menace to the stability of the 'verse... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN
GTD... What kind of game store???
Edit: (Hahaha first top of page post snagged! ) NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Not that... Oh please not that!!!!!! <b
Gandalftheredskin, welcome to our humble corner of the 'verse.
Ouch! True... But Ouch!
Guys... If you could also note what the starting conditions were... That would be very useful info I think.
Chip/FC if you'd like to respond to the query on the Galactic Guardians in this thread...https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=345&AID=103458 I made an attempt, but I leave it to you to clarify or refute as you wish.
Have they all fallen to the Yor? Have they been assimilated into another empire? I've been away from the forums for a long while, but GC2 has got me hooked, big time, and before I submit a game, I'd like to do so as part of an empire. Anyone know what's up with the GG? Theoden h
[quote Me too but some of them end up sucking and building a constructor or some ship in like 30-40 weeks! thats why i want to know the best way to use them. ] Research centres.
Dracil... Thanks for the info.
... suicidal difficulty ... AND and tech whoring is the way to go... Interesting. Surprises me that the devs let that slip by at higher difficulties given all the abuse it saw in GCI.
Hey Chip... Good to see ya.
Hummmm... Seems a little too easy Dracil. But then again it's a new game, a new AI. What were your starting conditions? Magnum... Same question... What were your starting conditons? Number of races, galaxy size, planet and star density, starting race and attribs... You know the usual stuff.
Here's another thread on tech-whoring... err... I mean Arms Dealing... err... I mean Technology Outsourcing. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=102891
Magnum... Glad to have you. Interesting with score difference. BTW, anyone know what the max points are for a game in the 'verse yet? Saw a couple of tech-whoring strats in the forums. Normal difficulty and below. Did that become ineffective above normal in GCI. (Actually didn't they forbid it completely above normal?) It'll be interesting to see if the devs let that cheese on the table at the higher difficulties in GCII.
Too funny. Oh well... More aliens left to kill.
I'll take a guess at this... Tech-whoring was exploited heavily in GCI, even at higher difficulty levels. This cheese was eventually closed by the devs so that no tech could be traded for money at the higher difficulty levels; tech for tech, tech for influence but not money. Again this was in GCI. It would not be unreasonable to expect that tech-whoring will not be a valid strat at high levels in GCII. Remember... I said a guess. I'll be interested to hear if this is in fact the c
Hummm... Just out of curiosity... How many races were you playing? Major and Minor. Intelligence level? Galaxy Size? Star and planet density?
See this Link
Darn DG... I thought that meant he submitted 3 games.
Hey FC!!! Good to see ya arrive... Magnum... It's called 'new' math.
