Well... I've upgraded the nVidia drivers to 163.71 (by uninstalling and installing new from scratch). This has meant I have now downgraded nView to 111.17. And I still have the original problem. So I have to either Disable all nView settings, or just for 'explorer' (using the nView Applications tab) to workaround. oh no - mines ok now - totally and I have mine enabled, so perhaps its one of

Hi Guys, I apologise if im stepping in out of turn but there is a thread happening here WWW Link that has is revolving around WB6 and MS applications and explorer where it just shuts down. Perhaps you could mozey on ver there and join in on that one, Neil Blanford is going crazy i think over this problem so the more users we can get with this the more chance he has of figuring it out. Neil - IE7, Office 2003 SP3 - all apps work fine, just get this with Windows explorer-based windows, if you know what I mean. Notepad is OK. yep - lokks like we both have exactly the same prob - thats just how im finding it. Have you tried applying the Adamant skin. I dont get the problem using that one. Have an app running that will crash and from a command prompt run tasklist /M > log.txt and then open log.txt and find the section for an app which does the crash & post the modules listed for it. Would SmartException help catch the crash data? Thanks for that suggestion, I just installed it, rebooted and gave it a whirl, reporduced the problem and SmartException didnt catch a thing. So i reproduced it everywhere i have the problem hoping to catch something but it didnt at all.

no - not at all. Explorer just restarts, and hte ms programs that it happens with just instantly close, poof! no warning.

thats happening to me too - all ms applications except for notepad too - neil blanford is on the case for me - gosh I htought it was just happening to me! I've been posting over in the WB6 beta forum as it was happening to me during beta too.
And this happens with all skins? yes - every single one of them except for the 2 'microsoft skins' at the begining of the choice of skins to load - i've been through all including the stardock skins. jeese I could probably understand this if i used an illegal copy of wb - but im not
oh meant to say the only ms application that it doesnt seem to affect for me is notepad. Wordpad, OE and explorer all keel over and disappear from the void.

yes but only styler - i've been down the route of uninstalling styler just in case it was that was causing the problem but it makes no differance what so ever. Tell you what i havent tried doing, im using Right Click beta 1.24c[b].005. I havent uninstalled that yet. Let me try that and i'll come straight back.
