Well come to think of it I did . As a treat for my new job and thanks to a no intrest loan from said job I upgraded my PC twice in 3 months. I started with a Celeron 800 w/256 MB of PC133 on a Asus TUV4x and a Radeon old school and now I have a Athlon XP 2000+ with a GB of PC2700 DDR and a 128 MB Radeon 9500 Pro on an Asus A7v-333X. The thing works like a dream I've done my upgrades so I don't have to worry about upgrading this PC for awhile , and I'm happy with the result

uhm .. every time I see one of these threads I am constantly reminded of the age old axiom that I live by in the PC world " the most important part of any well run PC is the nut usually found between the keyboard and chair " having said that as long as one is aware of the limitations of the 9x kernel you can have a fairly functional 9x box .. I know I had mine working okay ( although I agree 2000/XP is much better )

dunno why AOL bashers always turn up whenever AOL is mentioned. don't you people have anything better to do? where's a :rolleyes: smiley when I need one I kinda like AOL myself. I've got AOL 7.0 over BYOA (local DSL )and it's not bad at all.. although I wish I could get my paws on 8.0 ( I'm in Canada ) Looks
