What must be understood and remembered is GalCiv is on the galactic scale, different looking structures is not important nor nessecary for what would be in this game theme, though ground battles is a large and potential part of a space strategy.

Mars is 5. Earth is considered to be 10. For game balancing Earth should be a well-rounded 15-20. I agree with each Civilization have a pre-defined star system. Furthermore make them unique, say Arcean Empire's homeworld and other planets in star-system have atmospheres with a green tint to them. Make their star systems unique besides Humanity, especially names rather than, "Arcea 1", "Arcea 2", etc.
This is outstanding concepts Yellow and Canadian. I heartifully agree, I would enjoy having a much more understanding of Civilizations reactions and whatnot towards me except though I would love to have them posses a agenda. Just because they like you is because of your military might but they deliberately drag you into supporting them in their war thus once you won they strike you down, backstab. Giving them depth agen
I thought Lowa was a female with the inability to make paragraphs..
I completely disagree with adding negatives onto Minor Races in the racial/technological section Minor Races I prefer to be as normal as the major except their capabilites into becoming a powerful empire is extremely difficult. I look at them as these Civilizations which have had a slower start and is inferior to the rest, 3rd world countries developing like in our reality. U.S.S.R - Drengin U.S - Human Great Britian - Antara
No, leave it the way it is, the racial traits are perfect, whatever size the scenario is, they're all valuable.
You know Lowa, I use't to be a Precursor Exile..
The concept is great with hospitality but still some planets should remain impractical to establish early game on as in class 1-7 or 31-39 in my opinion because it just keeps a sense of realism although this is GalCiv. Furthermore stating that fairly high and extremely low class planets shouldnt be colonizable should be due to the extreme enviroment as in a very hot planet, with lava rivers across some areas of the landscape or the oxygen or something of a beautiful tropical planet, whatnot c
How come I dont see this in the thread list? Can anybody read this?

That is one of the best concepts Ive ever heard but adjusting it into the good/evil system would be detracting from it. If a Good Civilization decides to act what others would consider macilious because a terrorist act happened upon planet A and you initated a choice that outweighed the negatives, it shouldnt affect you all. Region and Local should only impose postives and negatives upon your Civilization unless StarDock constructed events afterwards or during a siege of a
The US Military doesnt mess up at all, infact it does its objective pretty damn well Lowa. Trying to start something Political?
It would be extremely difficult to halt a rapidly descending meteorite from imploding onto a planet. It could go incredibly fast as in several kilometers every several seconds? Furthermore if you developed railguns, you could accelerate them onto soil also.
My opinion is Minor Races stay the way they have been in the original GalCiv, provided a slew of diverse diplomatic options and several exclusive to them as suggested above like become their Guardian or be capable of making them into a semi-puppet whereas their economic growth is additional to your own.
Thats good, it has a lot of potential imo. So whynot we place down some thoughts on what Civilization should have X. Of course the concept is each individual tech tree is almost completely alien to one another and relating to the experience and everyway life of the Civilizations.
From everybodies input it should be simple, disregarding the racial trash between the Civilizations. They're afterall upright standing, all have universal translators and a U.N replica. Thus it should be like this. If their exists a planet that is invaded and captured by a opposing empire and they have a hateful relationship than the planet should have naturally upset morale for a period of time and reduced production in all aspects. This subject should be based entirely o
Its probably been suggested before and I bet it has, also I am back was just, 'unaware' of GalCiv-2 and ya'll are coming along with your product nicely. Anyway I propose that perhaps for expansion, whatnot a small compact, individual tech tree for every GalCiv race. Their is one branch for every subject of technology like warfare and industry, etc. Some races have alittle more fruit on a branch than another but end up with about around 11-16. Not all the races are balanced but they're
How come we all can come to an conclusion that having ENTIRE control of a planet instead of wasting possibly, Naval'en'millions of soldiers JUST so they can realize that the planet they've fought so hard to secure for their Empire & Emperor is supplying the economy and war effort of their enemies. Eventually, hopefully within short an short time period the dissent of the population if any left or a small pocket is comfortable. You will rebuild
It is an good idea but Fleet combat should display a maximum bar for Hull and shield. So in less than 10 seconds the's are dramatically decreasing upon damage. Also Fleets should be allowed an option to choose a formation. so for example you can place your Battleship infront of your Destroyers, your Fighters between them and flanks, etc and whoever is flaked by rear'en'sides takes alot of hits and engages or infront. stuff like that.

Indeed. Duckness whynot on your opinion get indepth with what you think planetary invasion be? I feel it should be based on the tiles of the planet like in all the tiles we see in the planets screen. Yah. Every tile is virtually a small battlefield with many factors, terrain minorites, majorities, Defensive structures, Infrastructure such as roads, Urban Rural, etc. I think what would be better if when you created lets for example. 100,000 Sold
I have an idea about trading in GalCiv2. First, their would exist automatic trading between your planets in the starsystem auto than if you wanted to gain more commerce, you've have a Starbase in both sectors, or built a structure on one planet or more in both starsystems and than you gain Galatic-Trading, Interstellar, whatever. The graphics are for trading in your Empire starlanes. Floating self-batteried glowing lights on tiles and between them are a
Ugleb, excuse me but aren't the Hosptiable planets are going to have not alot of room for infrastructure and mining including, planets like Mars whereas its an great planet for mining, building, difficult to live on? Either way players are going to have difficulty so their just making it hard in two different ways.
Considering whether the Civilizations leaders are Female or not is simple. Breast, facial appearence, appears sleek and silky... Their all Sentient beings. I dont know abouts 40's, Altarian and Humans in 2225 should posess long ages, around 140-160. An women in GalCiv-2 should atleast be wearing an long skirt, jewelry and necklance with gems, hair long or short to determine status, Military or Noble.
