It is not skinned on my win 8.1 machine either. I dont know if it ever was. I just opened it once in the last years, to check this. So it does not bother me at all. But maybe it is a bug and supposed to be skinned?

It looks like you created a new page (not desktop) and are stuck on it. Unless you deactivated it, you can easily change the page by pulling either one of the sides of the screen (left & right) with your left mouse button. Moving with left + right mouse button or middle button anyhwere on the screen works too. So should alt key + left or right key. With dragging an icon or a fence to the side, you create a new page, but you can also drag that one icon back to your main page.

I also had 2.12 installed, and no update in stardock central for me either. Yet I had to download and install it manually to get the new advertised features like the different corner styles.
IP works totally fine for me on win 8.1. But the gui is slightly outdated, compared to newer wb and deskscapes versions (no kinetic scrolling :(). Soundpacker does not run on win 8, at least I'am not able to install it. Even though there are only 2 usable themes (in my humble opinion). I still would like to use it! I just installed the decoder. I have not changed any settings anywhere. Either I'am lucky or something else on your system is in the way. I know at least, that exactly this installed decoder is used for dreams, there appears a tray icon and changing the some settings there effects the dreams. Maybe your system still wants to use some other decoder which isn't working? Try to see if you get the tray icon, if you use one of the working dreams.

I encountered a few problems with those programms on the new win 8.1. I do have the newest versions of both installed. With Decor8 the parallax scrolling is not always working and it can take a lot of restarts of the win explorer to make it working again. Maybe changing the wb skin numerous times did help too. They had a lot plans for fences 1, like skinning. In testing they realised it was not that good. So they may already thought about more other features for fences, which didn't turn out that well. And in my experiences, their software covers mostly everything you could ever dream of right from the start. But having a blur would be quite nice.
My guess is that they already thought about it, but fences is supposed to be as light weight as possible. Therefore it never happened.

I have already been there, only found an security update for ie10. Deleted that with window update. Killed my system, lol. Thankfully a system restore point has been set. I have to look more into it. I have bought it now. Some dreams really do work (so far I only tested moving wallpaper and collage succesfully). But the premium videos by TheMasterBaron dont seem to. I always get a message, which tells me that there was not a decoder found, even though I have installed some mpeg 2.
