Whats wrong if you like features from other games and point out that you would like something similar in GC? For example I prefer the system you design units in alpha centauri over the "you have this tech you can build this unit" system in Civ. So if someone would ask what i would like for Civ I would say "I want do design my units like I can in alpha centauri". Of course GC is GC and not alpha centauri or Civ or "insert any game name here". BUt I think its good if you take good

This is exactly the type of player that does not belong in a beta. A beta is not a 'demo' or a 'free trial'. It is a bug testing/squashing period. I know that its not a finished "demo". I do know pretty well that there a bugs in a beta and it has major balancing do be done. However you could have a peek of the FEATURES. I played a lo
If its your whole emprie that dropped to 1% its possible the you accidently increased your tax rates higer than 80%
If there is a beta, it'll likely only be open to those who pre-order the expansion While I understand this I still think it would be better to give everyone one who registered GC2 free acess to the beta. Why? I'm sure there many players (me included that like to test a game, either with a demo or by borrowing a game from friends
Yeah. An open beta for everyone who registered GC2 would be a really good thing
since in reality you could not possibly protect a border in the middle of space that spans for lightyears. So treaties for "closed borders" aren't very viable. If you have sensors that can scan half the universe and identify a ship lightyears away, you should also be able to say these dudes:"piss off or else!". Sure you cant hinder them in cro
I have the disappearing turn button always when i load a game while the comp takes its turn. Could this be your problem too?
a few comments Point nr. 1: As already mentioned before it is possible to to this. YOu can even see the maximum you could get as "a gift" when you play around with the money slider it works the same way like normaldeals: They might give you 100bc but not 101 if the trade (or should i say their new insurance) is green they will give it to you. If its red you demand to much.
Still one guestion lingers. Why do modern games tend to put stuff into the "my documents"? Seems to me bit stupid to have game files in two separate places or am I missing something? I really would like to know that too.
iirc= if i remember correctly.
First you need to research sensors. Than you can put a survey modul to your ship designs. edit: Seems I was to slow....
Frogboy I wonder when you are talking about multiplayer for 20bucks: What would there be added? Lan/Hotseat/email/internet/other forms? Protocolls? Game types? (like in other games: deathmatch,CTF, or whatever) MP-scenarios? A way to punish slow players? whatever? I do believe that a multiplayer that includes new game forms/protokolls/etc.... costs 20bucks. But I wonder how much would be a simple hotseat (this shouldnt be much, or am I th
I had a lot of precurser mines but not a single library. I think i even got more +700 productions tiles than +300 tiles (or at least almost as many)
It had the same in gal civ1. If I remember correctly its the event about your soldiers eating some bird eggs
you could set the relations in the beginning to hostile, that should make a war much more likely, but I haven't tried this yet.
Does he? After reading his post I'm not sure wheter its sarcastic or not....
Im not sure that 67% dont want multiplayer. The question was would you pay 20 bucks for amultiplayer only expansion. I for example would like multiplayer but I would not pay 20 bucks for a multiplayer only expansion because I would not play it often/ long enough multiplayer to make 20 bucks reasonable. 5 to 10 bucks maybe but surely not 20. why? because i would not play it online against random people (that would simply take forever), only in lan against/ with friends th
Plus, as a general matter of history, the guy who attacks wins wars. Defensive fighting almost never wins. I wouldn't say that. Many times the ones who started the war lost. examples: WW1 and WW2
This information is presented in-full during installation. By continuing installation, you are agreeing to the EULA (which are fully enforcable in North America, btw) I have no doubt that this is so in amercia, at least somewhere in the world they must be valid. However this NOT the case in europe (at least in germany/ austria, I dont know for sure for the others) because our courts say: You cant read the Eula before you bought the game (and thats true I have never seen the
You are 100% right on the secret police HQ, Secret policce is very usefull, however the description is very bad. Lets say you have a plane wiht 25b people and 5 vr centers without any boni Morale would be: 100% -80% for 25b people..... Thats your new base morale +5*25% (or how much is VR?) from the remaining 20% base mo
This doesnt stop people to sell their mmorpg accounts. I know enought people who bought/ selled their EQ/ WOW/ whatever account to someone else (sometimes they sold it and bought it back some months later) Regarding support for used games: Person A buys GC2 in the shop -> Stardock gets money and has to suport this serial Does it really mater wheter person A or Person B downloads the patch with this serial as long its ONLY ONE person at the same time (And Im not talking
Well i uninstalled the demo too. However it does not delete the game, it only deletes the registry entries. (You can still uninstall the game if you go system settings-> software) But since I wanted to patch the game I had to reinstall
You can play as slow or fast as you please. If need 5min or 1 hour for a single turn doesn really matter. (exept that you are going to have a VERY long game if you need one hour for every turn) And yes you should go though every menu the first round to give orders. However it is not necassary to do this every round. Example for first round/ turn (plz read the various other threads about whats best in first round) Lets say you ordered you home planet to build a fac
For me its also working on every planet. I colonize a lvl 10. it gets a PQ 11 with 11 green tiles. vs 1.10
Thats right. I m happy that some units are better suited for town defense and some for open field fights. But AOW:SM is the only game where a single Tier 3 unit kills 3 tier 4 units, when the higher lvl units are able to attack and inflict damage to the lower lvl unit, so I dont count the ghost of AOW 1 because every unit (even one two tiers lower ) with magic /holy damage would most likly win while every unit without is screwed up. Call it a higly spezialised unit <img src="http:
