I'm using Firefox and the three or four I downloaded today downloaded as .zip files. My problem is, I'm used to the .wba so now what do I do? I haven't had to worry about it before. I'm still trying to figure out where to put the wallpaper files because WB isn't finding them in my usual places. While I appreciate the extras, someone like me who uses them but does not design them or get into the mechanics of them will find the .zip files harder to work with.

I have the full programs. I don't want to install them again. I just want to keep track of any available updates. However, since I renewed my OD, it appears that they only way they'll show current registration is if I do reinstall them. For me, that's a fail, but I'm hoping the new updater will come soon and in the meantime, I just won't use the programs...

Deskscapes at a full install for 55megs is reasonable. For an update, it seems huge. That's something I'd expect from a Microsoft update. Not a Stardock one. But as I said, I couldn't tell if they were updates or full installs and since I made the mistake of renewing my Object Desktop twice because I thought Impulse must not have done the first one since nothing would update through it, I was hoping the updates would show up on my accounts page then as that. Thanks, but I don't know what needs updating and what's just a straight download. They're not marked as updates and they're HUGE [e digicons]:omg:[/e] which makes me think they're the full programs which I don't need. Just the updates if any are available. And they're all marked "Production." What does that mean? Maybe I just hate change, I don't know. I do know, they're making it much harder than it needs to be. [e digicons]<_<[/

I'm not a gamer and loved Impulse. Things were so easy to update or search for new things. Now, I've managed to buy two additional years of Object Desktop because nothing was showing up under Impulse/GS when I tried to update it, even though I knew they should update, the accounts page just shows full downloads and the classification is Production, whatever that is. I'm really hoping to see something new, that works, soon, because I really don't want to

I'm looking for some new Dreams, but not finding any. Is anyone doing new Halloween ones? I searched "Halloween" but don't find any and if I type in "Holiday" I get lots of Christmas ones but I'd really like a couple I can switch off for Halloween.

Today, all the red flags in my security went off and this is the program that came up as a trojan. ( Trojan:Win32/Orsam!rts ) Can someone verify here that this is a false positive? Why is it, when I apply the snow effect, the background picture goes away and all I have is a black background with snow? Also, I don't have the snow effect listed, it's only listed in the background tab. You know, I've had Object Desktop for a few months now but had purchased several of the programs individually prior to doing the whole thing and I'm really asking myself why now because I can never get things to work the way everyone else can. *sigh*

Well, I'm back. A year has gone by and I've worked on this problem off and on during the year to no avail. Everything I have is up to date and my Theme Manager still doesn't recognize Deskscapes. It doesn't recognize a couple other programs either. I'm at a loss and it seems the more I try to 'fix' it, the more programs it decides to ignore. Has anyone seen anything new on this lately? It can't be just me.

Well, I'm resurrecting this thread because I have the same problem. I can't move any of the items on ObjectDock at all. I don't have a left-handed mouse, I'm on a laptop and my configuration is set for right-handed use, I've tried all the other 'fixes' mentioned here and nothing helps. I just can't move anything. I want to set it up so it looks like my taskbar, clock and fixed shortcuts at the far right, but I can't move them, can't put anything between them and the start button, nothing. I w

Active Wallpaper in DeskScapes Stardock Forums

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to use active wallpapers with DeskScapes. Or is there a way to use them through ThemeManager or WindowBlinds? I have four or five Active Wallpapers that I've had for some time. They refuse to work on XP though they're designed to be used with XP. No matter which instructions I use, I just can't get them to work. I had hoped to use them perhaps in DeskScapes, but the only format it recognizes is the Dream format.

Thanks for the replies. I have ThemeManager 3.09. One of the Stardock Support people sent the link to me a bit over a week ago when I was having trouble updating, so I can only guess this is the most current version. Maybe it will eventually work itself out. Stranger things and all that...

I seem to be having a problem with ThemeManager recognizing DreamScapes3. It doesn't. Even though I uninstalled and reinstalled DreamScapes3, ThemeManager seems to think it's not there. Animated Email Icons in ObjectDock Stardock Forums

I have searched for the past two days and am coming up with nothing. I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas on where I can find animated email icons. I miss the OE one that popped open when I received new mail and since I can't get the bounce effect for attention to work until after I click the icon, it would be nice to see which email program I have that has new mail. I have a question that is in line with this. I have the bounce feature checked and they bounce fine! AFTER I click on them. Any emails, IM's or anything else that requires my attention such as a program ending (DVD Decrypter comes to mind) never bounces. Or glows, or rocks or any of the other effect options. The minute I click on the icon to check, it starts bouncing then. If I didn't have my email set up to give a verbal notice, I'd never know if I had new email unless I open the window.
