I tried that and it all works the way you say. However, when I try to apply or click ok a splash screen comes up and tells me I need to buy iconpackager. I cancel the screen but it won't apply the changes that I make. Any ideas? Thanks for the help

Since my trial period expired already it won't let me do anything with icon packager. It has the option there to change the icon to the correct setting but whenever I try to change it, it tells me I have to register and buy a copy of iconpackager. Is there maybe a way to work around iconpackager to make it do what I want?

A while back I downloaded the freeware version of Iconpackager. Today I decided that I wanted to revert back to my original icons because my trial period had expired. When I changed it back not all of the icons changed to what they were originally. Most of the icons like "My Computer" and other such icons went back to the way they were. However, the icon for .doc files didn't go back to what it was. Now the picture is for wordpad or something. Wh

Well to use the bootskins that are on the site you have to download and install the bootskin.exe that is available on the bootskin page. It's a really nice program. As long as you have to correct OS to run it. As for making a bootskin mostly any photo program will work. I use photoimpact. I have seen tutorials out there for Photoshop and for Paint Shop Pro. I think any program will work as long as you follow the appropriate guidelines

Bootskin question in Skinning JoeUser Forums

I have just started making my own bootskins. I have made a few successfully thanks to Bash2Cool, Cavan1, and Farid Nafar. I wanted to make a bootskin with a statusbar that runs across a white place in the background. Every time I do this the white place gets covered up by a black band. What I'm asking is if anyone knows how to tell bootskin to not cover over the bar image after it passes. Otherwise I will just have to make all my skins with a blac
