Things are looking great for the RTS genre right now. As well as Suprmeme Commander, Blizzard has job postings for people with expirience with making 3D RTS maps... not if the other races already have those tecs u just have to be careful of what tecs you trade and calculate who it will help and hinder
also u dont need to win every mission in order to continue playing the campaign, so if your stuck on one and cant seem to win just retire and hopefully the next one will be easier (of course you can do this too many times in a row and you cant do this on the last mission otherwise you will lose)
that and do you know how easy it is to use the ally system to your advantage if they always went in for you? plus you can choose wheather you want to uphold the allyship or not

another point on this option; make it possible that yours as well as other races ships can go ruogh when left in "deep Space" too long, or left adrift, ect. the ai dealing with this would be pretty hard though cause now u have to have it check each and every ship it has to c if it will rebell the next turn and that will take awhile
