There is no way to fight these people without violence. Period. When people form an organization, arm it, and get together into a big group to prepare for battle, what else really is there to do? Offer to settle the question with thumb wrestling? What Sodaiho has never, ever understood is that the goals of these people are the deaths of their enemies. This isn't ancient Greece where we can offer to settle it with a fight between two champions. Wait, that would be violence, too, any

I don't even consider it an insult. Tagging the prefix 'neo' onto conservative isn't any different than tagging it onto 'darwinism' or 'expressionism'. The only reason it is taken as an insult is because a lot of conservatives want to associate themselves with the icons of conservatism, and it makes them mad when they are distanced from such. So it's really backwards from the gist of this blog. "Neo-con" isn't saying you're a traitor from liberalism, it's saying that you're a trai

It wasn't seen as a cut at Obama, it was seen as a cut at Allen Keyes, Jesse Jackson, and a host of other black politicians that were most certainly articulate, "clean", bright, etc. "Heck, some will probably read this article and start attacking me over examples I used as a means to start a brand new argument over those old "gotcha" type stories. I'm SHOCKED that you would go by some scientific mumbo jumbo, KFC, when you have "THE WORD" right there with all the numbers in it. "Conclusion A straightforward reading of the biblical genealogies from the reliable Masoretic Text shows that Adam was created about 4000 BC and that the Flood occurred around 2500 BC. Contextual, linguistic and historical analyses of the book of Genesis confirm that the chronogenealogies are a complete record with no gaps. Creationists

Was there a global crusade against the IRA? Please. Christians won't get up off the couch to change channels, much less promote a 'jihad' over something some other Christian did in the name of God. You expect Muslims to? How many Christians demonstrate after abortion clinic bombings? A percent of a percent? And do what? March around with signs? Kick their neighbor's door in so Righwinger doesn't have to? What's the workaday Muslim in podunk America supposed to do about a bombing

"By far the simplest way to explain this is....were you to look at who the first few hundred 'Users' were here...[in order of UserID numbers....1 to 200, say] possibly half would be or have been skinners." I'm 217 and I fit that category, I was a skinner, at least then. Now it is different, as you say. Skinning is different. I have the tools a

"Well I think the earth is a bit older but pretty much you're correct Baker. I am in the young earth camp. " According to Ham and answersingenesis Adam was created around 4000 BC. How old do you figure it to be? Not being a smartalek, just wondering about the differences in opinion and where they come from.

The Bible talks a lot about stewards and people entrusted with responsibilities, though, wouldn't you say? What are the consequences, usually, of people who were handed the master's goods and didn't bother to protect them? "No, but then I'm not God. I'm not in control." So you're saying you you aren't in control, but you'd at least atte

KFC doesn't believe in Neanderthals. If she does she believes they were either deformed humans or some sort of ape. Neanderthals died out 20,000+ years ago, and KFC believes that the earth is less than 7,000 years old.

"Yes, God did allow Satan to "muck" things up. That's the beauty of free will." I don't recall Angels enjoying the same level of 'free will' as humans. Different *cough* Beast entirely. There was no promise to the Angels in your histories, was there? God could do whatever He wanted with them anytime he liked, couldn't He? <TABLE cellp

You would really compare a woman who lived in Palestine, the West Bank, at the same time as Jesus with people living now in the Muslim world? Are you kidding? No offense, but Uzbekistan ain't Saudi Arabia. I had a missionary friend that lived in Kazakhstan, and there are places there where there are no roads, and they still live in yurts and drink milk from their horses. Missionaries don't get out there much, if at all.

Never used one. Do they come in really low wattage? The bulb I keep in my work area is 40 watts, and it annoys me sometimes. No, I don't think the government should be doing this. I think California is paranoid about it because of their 'rolling blackout' culture and the mess they had with their power companies. I think before they worked their way down to light bulbs they could address air conditioning, and folks that don't respect them. I used to live in a HUD housing pro

As a rule I don't buy a new OS before the first service pack. Sometimes a lot later than that. I intended to wait for Vista and skip XP entirely, but they started chucking out software that required it. I figure you'll be seeing the same thing with Vista within the year. If there's something I really, really want that requires Vista, I'll upgrade. Sans that, I'll at least wait until the first service pack. If they don't offer me a significant reason, maybe not even then. So far fr

"He did. That's why he sent his Holy Spirit. God is never late and is always on time." No offense, but WITH that privilege Western religion hasn't even decided on the intricacies of doctrine. You really think that that the birds and flowers can just speak of God to the point that natives that have never heard of Jesus can understand your concept

"If you do your HW you can see it all started over there. So it's not like they haven't had chances." That's a pretty Old Testament perspective, dealing in national "theys" with little regard to the situation of the INDIVIDUAL. Unless, that is, you still think God writes off whole nations like he supposedly did with the Phillistines, etc. <b
