Be fair. They don't want to keep you down. They want to keep themselves up . It's business, not personal.

I'd just like to clear up one misconception - NTFS will not be replaced by WinFS. WinFS will run on top of NTFS, either a current or future version. So you lose nothing by choosing NTFS now.
I don't know . . . WC is pretty well linked in already. Plus it's not so much more visitors that's appreciated (otherwise there wouldn't be a bandwidth limit at all!) as more contribution from those that are around.
There appears to be a problem with some menus for some people - this has been reported on the newsgroups as well.
Snowman: Well . . .
I agree - a PDF is fine for printing, but that's not what I want to do with my documentation. Something like MSDN help or, yes, HTML would work better for me.
Well, that's one definition of "best" . . .
To be fair, they do talk specifically about this in the documentation for "for" loops, at least in the VS 2003 docs, and the answer is to use /Zc:forScope when compiling. Link: ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/MS.MSDNQTR.2003FEB.1033/vclang/html/_pluslang_The_C.2b2b_.for_Statement.htm
I guess you have a lot to thank him for, assuming you're happy with the life you have now. It's nice to have company in life. It's not easy to find the right person, though, and it's not usually the be-all and end-all to human relationships - even happily married couples tend to have some friends not in common with one another, because, heck, there's only so many times yo
To be honest, what a lot of US shows say about the US is that US citizens like to watch stupid people mess up. That doesn't mean all US people are stupid, but they are the most visible ones, and it doesn't paint much of a rosy picture about the viewers either.
Now, if only it worked with Firefox.
Comparing mIRC and Ventrilo? That's like comparing apples and oranges! Yes, they're both fruit, but . . . mIRC does a fine job of being a client to IRC networks, and while having few exterior upgrades, it is well endowed as a base for IRC communication (and for those who do want that sort of thing, there are numerous scripts around). Ventrilo is primarily a voice chat application designed for a restricted number of people. Yes, it supports IRC-like chat, but that's not the focus. They'r
I suspect they have licensed the rights to do so.
Heh, well I am the stereotypical 21 years old, although not for long.
You could at least rant about it in the *right* IRC channel, Stardock's! If it's not worth the price, people will not pay it. ObjectDock users continue to get ObjectDock, just as CursorXP users continue to get CursorXP. They just don't get the features considered to be "Plus". If you think it should be in OD, complain enough and I guess it might get in - that's how capitalism works, right?
I think it should be available to you if you upgrade.
Popularity does not necessarily make a good skin. Let's take https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=&sort=Downloads&order=Descending&library=1 for an example. We see that one skin is wildly more "popular" in downloads than the rest. Clearly this is a superior skin! But wait . . . what's the title of the skin? Why, "XP Professional". Now, how many 9x users do you think came to WC and searched for "XP" and found that skin? 8 out of the top 20 skins have "XP" in their name. I doubt th
As a note to the above, if you are a software developer make sure that you stop it running after you get the crash log and don't have it running on startup, because there is a bug with the current that prevents second-chance exceptions from firing correctly in VS.NET. (If you don't understand the previous sentance, it doesn't apply to you. </fon
Just scribble it on there, then. As long as you pay the right amount, they won't mind.
Recently there has been a lull because most of Stardock's effort is going towards the release of Poltical Machine. However, it's only been a couple of weeks.
Heh, they already were - that's why they got Gold Partner status.
. . . why not? If people want to try it out, they can, knowing that it is beta and that there may be problems with it (I've personally found it to be fine).
There will be, AFAIK.
Let's be honest here. Things have changed. The prevailing styles are minimalistic, smooth, and "clean", and that is because that is what a large amount of people want to see. You know those guys who complain about WB styles being too crazy, too out-on-the-edge? Well, some of them have become skinners, and others have become people who buy skins, and still others are those who comment and rate on skins.
Have you tried double-clicking them? Or maybe you need to import them, if they're in .exe format.
