I don't want to beat a dead horse, but what's the difference if YouTube is anti-US? I'm not saying they are, as apparently they're more interested in making a few bucks than having a specific political or ideological slant. As an American myself, I think it would be good for us to be exposed to a little more 'constructive criticism' whether it comes from Youtube or whoever.

Sometimes programs encounter errors and make huge log files. I have a backup program that couldn't find one of the folders I designated and ended up generating a 12GB log file that was completely unnecessary. WindDirStat is another of those hard drive viewer thingies. I've never been able to get DriveScan to show up in SDC. WWW Link

I have an XPS laptop, and I can assure you if I walked into a meeting with a client it wouldn't make a good impression, certainly not to the extent as an Apple. A MacBook is clean and slick, and that's what clients typically like to see. Adamness, in your opinion, what are the inherent qualities still in a Mac that make them better at graphics than a Windows platform? Well being around professional designers, I've found a big draw for Macs is the most superficial: the cool factor. I don't know of any designers who work on non-Apple computers. I'd say Apple still does 'rule' the design field, and probably always will. I don't think I'd put video and film production into the graphics category, though. Ultra and OnLocation are video editing, and a lot of that kind of work is done on PCs, as is a lot of high end 3d rendering. Adobe Premiere was Windows only for a while, but only as a snub to Apple when they released competing software. I think it's safe to say Apple

Why does it have to be a square?..or rectangle? Why not a circle, A triangle, or a octagon? That could be interesting from an artistic point of view, but I can say that I wouldn't want to use a circle or triangle window for anything, though we all use rectangles now, I assume. Maybe just rounding the corners more, or taking a piece of the corner off, but still keeping the general square/rectangle thing, otherwise it might take away some usability.

Too much to do in NYC to name. If you're an art lover, there's a ton of museums. Around 10th avenue between 18 and 25th streets, there are small galleries with some neat stuff (and a lot of crap.) They better not drop computers. I know a lot of designers, illustrators, etc. who would be really ticked off if they had to go to PC. Things cost money. I'm sure Microsoft spent a while figuring out what feature goes in what version, and I don't think it's Brad's or Stardock's place to tell MS they're wrong. Premium features come at a premium cost. That's why there are different versions of Windows, why cars have different trims, why there's McDonald's and fancy restaurants, etc.

When clicking on a link resizes my damn browser window without *asking* me first. It just does it, for no apparent reason! I read a study that said 1/3 of the people who walk around 'talking' on cell phones don't actually have anyone on the other end, but are pretending in order to look important/busy/popular. Sad, no? When people are on the phone, for whatever reason I find they walk slower. People walking slowly in Manhattan seems like it clogs the whole city up. That, and iPods. iPods turn people into zombies.
