OK, I have given myself a break, and uninstalled all Stardock products except for ObjectDock, caught up on using my PC for what it is designed for, and then when I was caught up, I reinstalled all of the Stardock products and decided to go with only release versions of the software. At first this worked except when I went to Repair Shell Icon Association for all processes, well that would reboot my computer on the release version of IconPackager, so I

Thanks for the suggestion, and that is what I am doing, but if this stuff isn't going to work right I will gladly remove it from my computer if I can have a refund, and if I can't get a refund, then I am going to keep the mods on here real busy. I just want the stuff to work right and it doesn't on my computer, so I wasted a whole lot of money for nothing. I am tired of this $hit.
Please help me, I am getting ready to pull my hair out and I don't have that much to pull. I am actually ready to low-level my drive and wipe all this crap off of it and say goodbyre to it all, and just write it up as crap.

Thanks for the suggestion but I am already doing that, but just more concerned that WinFX is not working as it should be. I have also tried to configure Desktop X to put the icons below a certain point but then it also moves the dock down to that point so it all gets defeated in what I am trying to do, so i was hoping that the WinFX suggestion would work, but unfortunately it didn't. I hope that milksama reads my reply and helps me to get WinFX to wor
Well I tried this and it did not work. I checked the box "Limit the size of maximized windows" and entered 1024 in width and 738 in height, I have a 1024x768 Monitor. I also checked the "Position maximized windows at the coordinated below" X coord - "0" Y coord - "40" and I still get the space at the bottom of the screen not the top where I want it. It also did not move my desktop icons either like I was originally asking. I am getting SOOOOOOO Frustra
I was really hoping that it would work, but all it accomplished is that when I am looking at the subfolders using explorer the icon I choose for folders show, but the URL's still are the default IE icon even though I have a specific icon specified for .url's in my theme. And then to top it all off, when I open Internet Explorer the icons in my link bar are still the default IE icons, so it half applies in regular explorer folder view and does not apply
To fix your Explorer Favorites you should be able to simply reset back to the windows default icons and apply. Then re-apply your theme. Didn't work, I openned IconPackager, selected the very first icon set. Windows Default. Applied, looked at my desktop icons and they were are f'd up, blanks, etc. Th
I like what you have so far because I like icons that indicate file type right in the image. How about one for .m4p audio files. (iTunes default extension)
I am having some problems changing my icons using IconPackager. First off the .zip file always defaults to .rar file setting. To change to a .zip icon after applying the icon pack, I then have to apply the icon I want to the .zip file extension manually. The second problem I have is that it will not skin the Internet Explorer Favorites menu. I have the option checked in Options. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now, but no effect. It did it in
Try resetting your Icon Cache. Open IconPackager, Select options. In the right hand side of the screen select either/and/or Rebuild Icon Cache and Repair Icon Images.
I have found two objects in the DesktopX object listing that do report this information, but first they are configured for Celsius, and I am a stupid American, so don't know the conversion factor, and secondly I get tons of script errors when ran.
Thanks for the advice. I totally understand what you mean about some widgets needing their right click menu. I tried with a recycle bin widget to import it, but then I couldn't empty the bin, so I had to delete the import and start it as a wisget. The other thing I like about running widgets imported is that they don't show up in the first page of the task manager that way, and also don't appear in the startup folder, thereby not producing task bar ico
if I run DesktopX and import them all there will be one process that will be as low as 2-3, perhaps 6 megs of RAM (plus less virtual memory, less handles and fewer GDI objects). Some widgets work better as widgets, but most import very well, and this can be used to save system resources as well as saved as a desktop that can inst
I was wondering. After playing with DesktopX widgets and objects, I have discovered that most objects are also made into widgets. What is the optimal configuration? Is it less memory to run it as an widget than running it as an object. What are the advantages and disadvantages of running either, both, or neither? I just am interested in what other people have found to be true. I have a few objects that don't have a widget, but all of my widgets also ha
I have a laptop and would like to see a widget or Object created that displays the current temperature of my processor and my harddrive. I have no idea of where to start with either. I have a program called Everest that reads the data from the sensor but it would be cool if I can have it sit on my desktop without having to open the program. I know there is a ObjectDock item for sysstats but I am leaning away from object dock and working mainly with Des

Not wanting to place them above the dock, but wanting to make the space unavailable for placement of any icons.
I was wondering if there was a way to stop Desktop Icons from going under the tabbed dock. I have a tabbed dock that takes the whole width of the top of the screen but when I save something to my desktop it goes under the dock. I have the dock set up as a drawer and it works great but it's hard to get the items that get placed under the tab portion. I have the entire paid Object Desktop package and ObjectDock Plus.
I have also disabled my ethernet Network connection, but I still get three icons, two ghosts and one actual object.
I have added another DesktopX object and now I have to do the regsrv32 everytime I reboot my computer or nothing works, I am getting ready to ditch DesktopX completely.
Thanks, the download from Microsoft solved the problem and created another but another download solved the problem that was created. Now I'll try playing with DesktopX objects again, hopefully this time it won't crash my computer, but if it does, now I know how to fix it. Thanks again.
I am having a strange problem when my computer first starts up. My wireless connection network icon appears three times on a fresh boot. All I have to do is right click all three icons, and the two "ghost" icons disappear. But I would prefer if they didn't come up at all. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?
I was having the same problem however when I looked at the .ini file that was created by Saving theme, the entries for the statusbar do not save particular icons for the statusbar. So instead I went and manually edited the AppImages.ini file in the C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus directory. Please note that you have to be showing hidden files. Edit the AppImages.ini file and add an entry to the bottom o
Ever since I started playing around with DesktopX I have been having major problems with my computer. Everytime I reboot I have to goto run and type regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 vbscript.dll to get my computer to function normally. If I don't I cannot run help, run system restore, use User Accounts, do a search, do a search from the address bar in IE or use Yahoo search, also I cannot get Large Preview in Stardock Central, or WinCustomize browser,
