Thanks much W.O.M.... I'll keep looking. I want to fix up my old computer for my sister if she will take it. She is really paranoid about them, but I have gotten her to play cards and even send an email to my brother. I think it could be a good therapeutic tool... Only I don't feel comfortable letting her poke around in my own stuff.
HEH... it is the image that is important to me. I really love pretty things. That is why I love this place so much (and you all are so nice!). I notice the cheaper ones at that place are saying UNSPECIFIED.. for dot pitch. I imagine that means big like 3+.

I decided to go ahead and get a new (cheap) monitor and I was wondering what to look for. Mostly I want bigger, but now I see that includes ont only 1024 X 768 but one size even bigger. Both are affordable for me.. Is bigger better? I have seen some in stores that are kind of rounded and the clarity and color seems a little off... what do I check for to avoid that? Thanks for any suggestions!

The first time I used that adaware program I found 147 different instances of spyware. I cleaned them all out and everything still worked. My computer did run better. The one that slows it down the most is that gator... it comes in still somehow. I have learned to know when it is present by the feel of my computer and I go on a gator hunt with adaware and zap it. If you have a program you like... go for it! I am glad you found the way to exclude it.
