I hope you post more of these interesting bug testing reports with screen shots. Especially on AI improvement.

Nice work. Thanks. I will try it.
While the game works perfectly when the nr of ships on the screen is in the range of 0-100, the frames per second drops considerably when the numbers get much bigger. I have put all the detail effects on highest (and use 1600x1050 as my resolution). Which (downward) adjustments of aspect of detail settings will deliver the biggest bang for the buck (in the effects options screen)? In other words, what downward adjustments are not very visible, but deliver big performance increa
CoD4 is fantastic!
Very nice, you've got me interested!
How's the AI? I'm unlikely to ever play the game MP, so it needs to be worth its purchase price for the single player component alone.
Good question, anyone has answers?
Interesting to see that so many people don't care that much about designing their own ships. Could it be that Stardock misjudged the popularity of this aspect of the game?
Please take your time. I agree with the majority. Go polish the game and make us happy!
The Wiki has been very helpful to me. I really appreciate people updating the pages! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the e-mail and the the reply. Good Luck with your monitor.
I second the above message!
How about the AI of Europe Universalis 3 / diplomocy etc.. such kind of games? Are those games better at these things?
This thread is a perfect illustration of how good this game is - the fact is, ALL of these strategies work for someone!
My thoughts exactly.
In the later period of the game i build large hulls. Since i cant afford many of them i build them to survive almost anything on the map. They have a decent drive, good defense and decent offense. I also design another medium hull as an support frigate. I give this one the same engine but now i focus more on weapons r
Iztok you are briliant, thanks again!
Thank you for all the replies, very helpful. I hope other people will also join this interesting discussion.
Thank you very much for the mod! I have a quick question. The mod works with a setup program. Where do all the files get installed? Which directories? Can you remove the mod manually or is there some uninstall option as well? I would appreciate your answer.
Given the enormous possibilities in designing your warships, I was wondering how you guys design your ships in DA. - Do you focus on defense, or mostly on offense? - Does it matter whether it's early in the game or late game? - Do you mix fleets with big dreadnoughts and little fighters? - What's your ideal hull size? I would appreciate some thoughts!
Keep it coming ;)
I have a minor problem with the graphics of my game (DL v1.5). During the game various trade lines begin to flicker while playing the game. This especially happens when I select a nearby space station. Is this a common problem? Could Stardock provide a response on this issue?
Thanks for the info, it's not that things are wrong at my resolution, which is also the native resolution. BTW I have a very new graphic card (8800GTS). It's just that there are large horizontal distances between some lists in the game and menu's, so it's sometimes hard to read. In addition, the mini map looks rather small in comparison to the rest of the screen. What's the next common wide screen resolution below 1650x1050? Perhaps I should try that one.
Hi there, I was wondering which resolution you guys are using when using a widescreen monitor? I just bought a new computer and monitor. The monitor is a Samsung syncmaster 226BW, 22inch wide. I now play the game at 1680x1050, which makes the lower bar in the main screen and other menu's pretty small and unreadable. What other resolution would you guys recommend (and use)? Do you play the game in wide screen or just 4:3? Are there some options for scaling? I would really apprec
I really like these strat discussions you start Iztok. Keep it up!
Very interesting. Did you try searching on google images etc? Perhaps looking on older Dune games websites, or just general gaming sites such as gamespot for screen shots?
Sorry kyro I meant in general not specific for galciv2, what would the advice then be considering near future game development
