They are right on all point, just wanted to point out that the pop cap for your homeworld is 16B (instead of the normal 6B) because of your capital, that is usually the reason of such low morale there... I usually correct this by filling up my transport from that world (if it's not too much out of the way)

I have the same problem. It seem seem linked to right mouse button scrolling. Scroll to the edge of the screen and release, it will continue scrolling. Only way to fix it is to do the same thing in the opposite direction. I use Vista Home Preminum x86 /w an good old P4 3.2gHz
Waagghh is right, FTL particles has been recorded in, among others, the particle accerlerator underneath Sudbury in Ontario, Canada.
bug 1 isnt actally a bug but an anti-cheaters feature. Brad said so a while ago in a journal i think. As for bug 2 I agree, fix it.
@phbbt107 It can already be... put everything at abundant and a huge galaxie. the total of colonies in the end-game can reach over 150-200... Ouch for micro management.
the constructor law was bugged in 1.0X it force all consturctor to go @ speed voted + speed research bonus no matter how much engine you put in (was really anoied when I saw my 30pc constructor dumbed to 5pc (in my case). Any way just a friendly warning because I've got no idea wheter or not they fixed it since it not in the change log.
nope,. these events are due to anomalies and not creativity. Creativity increase the odd of a major breakthru like the new hyperdrive engine that boost speed by 50% or the think tank that boost research by 100% but those breakthru are galaxy wide and thus, you get the benefit but everybody else too.
I already play only neutral, I love the terraforming and the moral bonuses, but give some more plz! Love the game btw especially with beta 1.1 (Ouch that A.I. is tough)
Unless you activate the No Tech trading option in the beta (just wanted to make things a little more complex )
The thing is that from an Invasion point of view the strategy of destroy vs. dont' destroy is there but when I use cultural conquest or even standart invasion principle (traditional warfare), I'm often left with a planet that will require (late game) something like 30000-50000 bc before it's producing enough social production to transform/upgrade itself. Now I guess that I'm non so bad a player but late-game, with my economy running @ 100% ahd my appro
I think this was in order to balance the slower reproduction rates but I agree that it need to be tweaked.
I always play as neutral... Just love the moral and the PQ (terraforming) bonus.
Also, for a while, before you can pump out strong enough ship on your own to stand-up to the dread lords, build Kamikaze ships. I.E. Cargo Hul ship equipped with a few engines and load of weapon (don't waste money on defense). Then use those "Large" hull ship (but way more economic) to hunt down in pack the dread lords. I had 2 or 3 fleet of kamikaze at about 10-15dmg each to kill down a Dreadnough but since the dread lords are real slow to build them back (they mostly build escort or frigate sh
that' true. I left the UN due to a bug in the constructor speed vote (all my constructor were limited to speed whitout engine). You lose all trade route (can still trade via diplomacy tho) and are free of all UN decision past and future.
sorry for all the fuss guys, I simply thought it was fair use because logos of this and Star Trek (both by Gene Rodenberry) are used on Wikipedia with the fair use disclamer... Didn't ment to create a debate on what is or is not fair use. Anyway, I've photoshoped the image into the game with a few "Magic wand" and a transparent background... far from impressive or anything, but hey... better than nothing and I really don't tink any going to bust down m
The serie was canned last season so it might be deficult to obtain aproval and insn't logos fair use (as in copyright fair use) anyway?
for those of you who like a challenge, I found this image of the logo in, I admit, low quality (but high Enough to distinguish the details).
Hi, just wanted to ask around for a Andromeda's Commonwealth logo.... Love the show and love the idea of a commonwealth type of empire battling against dreadlords (Pyrrians), Yor (Kalderran) and Magogs (Dregins).
Intelligent for all AI = Tough so your are both right.
bug #2 is not a bug, when you start upping your taxes way too high (you said you had a global approval rate of 14) the number of registred cetisent paying taxes will pummel and as a rule, less population is easier to please so you might have 100% approval but lost bilions of taxpayers wich will gradually come back as long as they are happy enough (for experiance, the pop of a planet start to stabilise around 50-40% approuval, under that it shrink and o
Hi, I've voted yes to the addenum saying that the base speed of the constructor should be upped and the galaxy voted with me to up them by two but now, all my and perhaps the AI ship are capped at 5 (I've only seen 5 moves left on AI ship but they really seem to be moving faster) Anyway, my beef is that I've paid a lot to boost my constructor speed (now they got 29pc/week with load of HyperDrive engine and the only time they seem to enjoy that speed i
Bah... a strong cargo ship is what I call a Kamikaze... almost the only way to kill the dread lords until your tech catcg up with them.
Hi, I thought for a while about not posting this problem since well it might be only due to my computer but I thought then that even if that's the case, maybe someone else has that problem so, here I go. The game run fine except that it crash when I restart the scenario too often (cheap shot trick to earn better tiles bonus) and apart that it crash about 3-4 hours if not more into the game. I don't know if it's constant or anything but I alw
To be frank, there's no real way. What usually happen to me is that I try to research Sensors quickly (trade any AI for stellar cartography (or you have it with any non-human race) for about 50-75bc then research sensors. Once you've got sensors, build a cargo hull with a few survey sensors and engines. It'll cost a lot for an early ship but it will see far thus enabling you to discover wich planet are good for colonization. just for exemple
I agree and it wouldn't be such a big UI or AI change and neither a balance problem either. Perhaps an option like that (to prevent people complaining about it) could be implemented in the 1.1 version.
