How are we going to get BETA updates, and is there a schedule? Just curious when the next Beta will be ready and how we'll be notified of it, etc. Thanks!

Ahhh - what's the ETA on allowing us to test "the other side"?
I just grabbed the beta, and since there's no help (that I know of) I was curious if we do anything more than just control the Demigod? I can't seem to control the "small creatures" nor define what's summoned, unless I'm missing something on the UI. Is there some sort of comprehensive overview of "how to play the game" for the beta? Thanks!
[quote]Ok i see guys making suggestions that hangars and turrets will fend off an attack while you get your fleet back to help out the planet, or some have even suggested that it will fend of ANY attack. I call BS on this, in my past 2 games, normal AI (random) on a medium map, by about the 5th hour, two or all AI's are allied together and i get attacked by no less than 2 big fleets on a forward planet. OK that's fine, just fall back, regroup and take them out with a better, more powerful fleet
I've only played a few games, but it seems to me that diplomacy is completely useless. First, we can't initiate anything. This means we must react, so there is no strategy at all. I've lost two games in a row (4v4 FFA 3 Normal AI) to simply getting ganked by two empires at once who were on both borders. We need the ability to manipulate the other empires into working with us so if we see Empire A on our left border, and Empire B on our right border, we can work something out with at
Yah I think the diplomacy feature needs to be fixed. I just had the same thing because diplomacy (correct me if I'm wrong) is reactionary, not actionary. So I cannot entice peace with any other civ withou doing their bidding. This makes for quick gangups IMO that kill the game hours into it.
Is there any way to map my left side mouse button to operate just like my middle button when I hold it down and scroll around?
Yup - that solved it. Thanks a ton!
I'm running XP Pro SP2 on an AMD X2 4200+ system with a 7800GT and the latest drivers and DirectX. The initial release had problems with the little 'mini windows' of animated planets and ships that would rotate spinning out of control. Well, the latest version not only does that, but now, dragging and moving around the main galaxy map jitters all around too. For example, when I start a new game, and I'm selecting the race, the little window in the lower right corner that s
How do you have a planet auto-launch the ships it creates when they're completed?
I love GalCiv I, and GalCiv II looks to be even better; one question for those who have done so - is it worth purchasing now to get access to the BETA? When was the last BETA released, how was it, and when is the next BETA scheduled? Is it worth it? Thanks!
