You should probably post more info about your system....Vista 32 or 64 bit, are you on a domain or not? It's a pretty simple program...it could have to do with administrative rights on Vista or a firewall or anti-virus program not letting it install correctly.

Then I'd guess it's your bmp_100...it has to be a true .bmp...not a .jpg or .gif renamed to a bmp. You need to open it in Paint and save it as a 24 bit .bmp for it to work right.

Do we now wait another whole year for the next update for this program? You may, you may not. If you were running Stardock wouldn't you go where the money is and get the primary programs like WB, SKS, Icon Packager, DesktopX, etc. updated first to work with Vista and still provide new things for XP?? And 64 bit support also? RightClick is my favorite and most useful program, but for a company trying to be sucessful, it would be a low priority

I wonder why a transparent user image does not work? It appears to be something written into the Vista code. It's not possible to make the userpic transparent in XP logons either.

I usually just right click the tray icon to unload WB...that's still there. I don't see the Unload WB button in the new UI though...

The small logon picture can be changed in Control Panel/User Accounts. I believe the logon files themselves are stored in a .dll or some new format not accesable to the user...I haven't really heard a full explanation yet... but they are not in any folder. If you want to uninstall Logon Studio, although I'm not sure why you would, it's best to set it back to the default logon to avoid possible problems in the future.

At this point in time, the only thing you can change in Vista logons using Logon Studio Vista is the background. As far as where they are kept, I'm really not sure....never been able to find them. Hopefully in the future LS Vista will allow for more customization of the logons.

I find it hard to believe you can't install it yourself...you're a smart lady. But even if that's the case...get some geek in you're area to do it...from a local computer store or something. It's really not that hard, and I'm sure it wouldn't cost much if you signed up with a dsl or cable provider that supplied the necessary hardware and software...they could get it up and running in no time. A 4 or 5 mb upload at DA or WC takes 1 or 2 minutes...I don't notice much difference
