Well, if you're on the secondary with the adapter, you'll probably have to live with no logons unless you can find a solution. If you're on the primary with the router, it has to be something else that's causing the problem.
Have you recently installed a wireless router? It's a known problem on the secondary machine that has the adapter....it installs a file that disables the use of logons. The primary with the router has no problems, but the secondary can't use them and just gets the password dialog. Just a guess....
Try uninstalling and reinstalling Logon Studio. Sometimes the install will corrupt and you have to reinstall it.
Going fuzzy is what gets me in trouble most of the time....
Hi Nakor, Yes, the latest build of SDC installed first and restarted before I did the install of WB 6. I've NEVER had a problem with new builds of WB, but this time after install all I got was Classic. So I had to uninstall WB6, then reinstall again. It seems to be working fine now, but it wasn't "seamless" here...I hope there aren't many others with the problem.
A pretty weird install...it asks if you want to uninstall WB 5, and when you click yes it does but it asks you to reboot, but continues with the install of WB 6. If you don't reboot after you uninstalled WB 5, you will have problems. Just make sure you reboot after the uninstall of WB 5. You will not have WB installed at all after that, but then you can install WB 6 and it seems to work fine. It might not be the same for everyone, but that is what happened to me.

Beta or not, it's not worth anything more than a beta yet as far as as a tool for skinning. Anybody can create a LS Vista skin in 15 seconds so why even have a library for them at this point? People can download Logon Studio Vista and make a logon of any wall they want...zero creative talent needed. It's still in beta, give it time. Vista has a whole different way that logons work, and it will take time for Stardock to to put more time into LogonStudio Vista. Right now, all you can do is change the background..so I don't even bother to post any until hopefully there is the ability do do more with them. I use Vista pretty much full time now..the only reason I dual boot with XP is so I can continue to make logons for XP, but I realize Stardock's other programs are a much h
First off, I did not send an email. The only person I contacted was the person at DA that posted a logon using the tutorial. I asked him to remove, he said he didn't know it was my logon that was used from there, and he kindly removed it. He left me a link to the site, and since I don't speak Polish, It just looked like a site on how to rip logons. zagorskid explained earlier in this thread that it's a tutorial for personal use and I accept that at face value and apologize.<b

He didn't really understand what he had done wrong, and I guess I can see why from looking at the site. Years ago, it occurred to me to create a folder on the Desktop and name it "Downloads". And that's where I download nearly everything from online. Same here...easy to find the files, install and delete from one place. It's the only icon I have on my desktop.

pictoratus, I use True Image also and have never had to reactivate, and I've done a full restore quite a few times with no problems.

If they are .zip files...unzip them and put them in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Dock\Backgrounds...then they will show in your "Appearance" backgrounds list.
It can take up to 5 days for a submission to be posted if it's accepted...and it's the weekend. Give it time.

I don't think anybody should be able to hide anything. Idiots are out there..if they have the ability to comment that's fine. Censoring them won't do anything....if your work is good, people will ignore them and make their own comments about how stupid they are. If they don't....who cares?? We upload what we are happy with. Some like it, some don't. It's all part of what we do...
