Stand-alone is really awesome man "Gadgets - For users of DesktopX Pro DesktopX widgets can be exported as stand-alone programs (.EXEs) called gadgets that require no additional files or run-times to be installed. Loaded okay on a 1280x1024 vista box here and appears okay as far as I can tell. You may get more of a response if you were to post this in a customization forum or even submit it to the gallery. The nice thing about gallery items is that it supports updating pre-existing themes, so that should not be a concern. -Mike [Stardock Support]

To show the files with extensions, you would need to change a setting within Windows. Open any folder, press Alt+T, go to Folder Options , then the View tab. From here, just uncheck where it says Hide extensions for known file types . -Mike [Stardock Support]

In the world of development, looking at and tinkering with the source of others is really the best way to get more familiar with things yourself. There's no problem with doing that and I both practice and encourage it. It would of course be crossing the line to submit this work as your own, but you have taken claim to the contrary, so no worries If this were significantly altered

Hey Jeff, I am not aware of this being in the current set of plans for DesktopX's future. But I'd be happy to submit your feature request to the lead developer of DesktopX. Thanks! -Mike [Stardock Support]

Oops! I keep forgetting about the differing naming scheme. I do run Vista, but as you can tell my primary machine is still XP Glad to hear it's back in the realm of the desktop. I personally like to do a check OnScriptEnter as to whether the object's current coordinates would make it visible or not. (Not very helpful if you can't see what you're working with.
