Thinksync uses port# 5001 for communication by default. However you are able to modify this in the settings. When you open this port on your firewall, are you able to connect? -Mike [Stardock Support]

Those were the only causes for you problem I could think of. I haven't come across anyone else running into this issue when using the Windowblinds Beta release. Since it's only happening at startup, I suppose it's not critical, although I would still be interested to know what's causing it. Keep us posted. -Mike [Stardock Support]

Unfortunately we have no official word on any of these features. I'd just keep an optimistic attitude because as far as final releases are concerned, the Windowblinds development team hasn't let us down yet! -Mike [Stardock Support]

I can't say for sure as you probably understand. As with any development company, we try to reserve the amount of deadlines we give ourselves. It minimizes the headaches and allows us to underpromise and overdeliver (rather than overpromise and underdeliver ) You can bet it will be relatively soon, Thinksync is a very useful piece of software, especia

Thats true: It works only with non-PerPixel skins. Since their skinning is performed in a unique way, some features non-PerPixel skins have are not available to the PerPixel skins (eg. Titlebar sounds). Support for minimizing to the system tray is a feature that might be reintroduced to PerPixel skins in the future. -Mike [Stardock Support]

This is a known issue with Stardock Central. I personally just press the letter of the program I'd like to jump to and then go from there (though I prefer the scroll wheel). I've reported the issue to the development team again, however. -Mike [Stardock Support]

1. Verified 2. Verified These are valid issues, but unfortunately can only be resolved by the skin authors. Addressing issue #1, Windowblinds works successfully when applying skins. The kin author must be contacted to resolve this issue. Addressing issue #2, I am not sure what specifics were involved with the creation of this skin. If the author used a feature of Skin Studio, but found incorrect results, the auth

Windowblinds is set up to skin known panels and controls. To include support for third party programs, it would have to happen on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately if the development team concentrated on including this support, other major areas of improvement could be neglected. Although it may be supported in the future, 3rd party windows customization applications and owner drawn controls are not supported at this time. (all function

Unfortunately, icon grouping is not available in the free version. That screenshot I submitted was of the ObjectDock Plus version. It does not matter which image you use (but version type must be plus). As far as I'm aware, there is no way to have a different icon from the Outlook icon representing emails. Although Outlook opens the emails in a separate window, it is still running under the main process msimn.exe, so implementing this feat

corey1138: My recommendation would be to start with a clean slate and work your way back from there to you regular windows setup. (Of course I'm not implying a format/restore of your system; this I reserve for emergencies ONLY.) I'd first uninstall IconX and make sure you clear the cache: (C:\Documents and Settings\ \Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\IconX or you could check out a tutorial at http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/A

Unfortunately we cannot disclose most of the information concerning Windows Vista, but we can say that we expect to offer products which support it. We will continue to support Windows XP/2K after Vista is released (until Microsoft ceases it's support on XP/2K). By subscribing to Object Desktop, you are entitled to all releases and prereleases while your subscription lasts. Stardock Central is a light application despite it's collection of

We understand your frustration with this issue. The development team is currently working on a fix for this known issue and will hopefully have it available in the next release. Unfortunately, since this program is still in the Alpha stage, there are many issues to address, and some may get more attention than others depending on their priority. -Mike [Stardock Support] <img src="ht

You will need to contact the developer(s) of UltraMon's Smart taskbar to see if they can add or already offer this feature you describe. Yes, this would be very difficult to use due to the black text on the black background. Objectbar will serve to replace the Start Menu and offer other potential shortcuts and features. Although it's not specifically skinned by Windowblinds, an Objectbar theme could very nicely compliment your Windowblinds

Is this problem reproducable consistently? If you have Windowblinds unloaded and then load it only after Adobe Encore DVD and Mindjet Mindmanager are running okay, what happens? Which version of the Windowblinds 5 Beta are you running? Which version of Windows (including service packs)? Could you copy/paste the text from the "Troubleshooting" section of Windowblinds? To resolve the issue temporarily, you could add the two programs

Did you make sure to setup your "Login Details" and enter your username/password for the remote machine? This can be found under the "Network" tab located in "Setup Job". If that doesn't resolve your issue, it may be an issue with your firewall. You could try temporarily disabling it to see if that gives results. Since this product is still in the Alpha phase of development, official documentation is unfortunately not provided. <

Have you tried using the latest stable release from nvidia? Version 78.01: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_78.01.html Also, there is a newer version of Windowblinds available; there were three updates since the initial release. You might want to check and make sure you have no active items on your desktop: -Right click the desktop -Go to "properties" -On the window that comes up, go to "Desktop" -C
