D+ for layout...only because going thru EVERY page to get to a specific page # is a REAL pain in the * Go to the second page of any gallery and look in the address bar of your browser. You will see 'p=2' at the end of the address. Thats the page you are on, just change it to any page you want to visit and hit go.
You can call it ' flooding ' all you want but the bottom line is people downloaded the weather widgets. I used the word flooding simply because it was the terminology introduced in post #5. I wasn't intending to imply something negative, I thought it was referring to the quantity. Personally I don't care if my widget matches my windowblind..but, the public does. That’s why I think it would be convenient for people t
Skinnable widgets is a great idea. As it is now, the same widgets are used over an over again but with different images. So, basically that's what is going on now anyway. It would be much more convenient to be able to simply change the skin via a menu than to reload a new widget. Plus, why have so many copies of the same thing on your computer when you only need one? There should be seperate skins for different types of widgets rather than having them being created in a universal form
Now this sounds very cool! I agree!
Here at Wincustomize is there someone working on it? sViz has made some DX themes that simulate an animated wallpaper effect. You might want to take a look at them. Of course you would need to have DesktopX installed. Tropic Falls WWW Link Summer's Night WWW Link
There hiding here: C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Backgrounds\Non-Tabbed
You can download IZArc. It's freeware and it can extract rar files and just about any other archive you might find. WWW Link
Thanks to everyone involved in the contest and to WebGizmos for sponsoring it. It was a lot of fun to participate and it was great to have my work featured along with so many talented artists. Congrats to everyone who entered, you all did a great job. Canmandeco, I told you if yours didn't win, I'd puke. I'm glad that wasn't necessary. <img src="http://images.stard
Download Tweak UI from Microsoft. It has an option to remove the recycle bin from the desktop. WWW Link
Canmandeco....If you can post these in the ObjectDock library so they can be tested out that would be great. I uploaded them last night. They are still in moderation.
Ok, here's my entry for the contest. WWW Link There's four different backgrounds in the zip. All were made to match the OldRepublic skin by MikeB314. WWW Link Permission included..
canmandeco: I did look in to that, but it ended up being tricker / couldn't use the same system. For those it's going to have to perhaps be a percent also...but...percent of the height of the dock instead of % of height of the item. If you apply the same algorithm as with the tiles? Looks goofy We'll see about something for a v1.9x Thanks for your reply. It's such a great feature, I knew there must be a reason it was for tiles only. I'm looking forwar
It's a shame that you can't use the resize and offset settings with non tiled dock backgrounds. There are a few glass shelf backgrounds that would also benefit from them.
Congrats!
I'm glad you got it working!
Did you delete the old version of the skin before you installed the new one? If not, it may not have updated properly. Just be careful that you do not have the skin applied when you delete it. Switch to a different skin first. If you do have the updated version installed, there should be a substyle to choose that is called Stargate SG1static. That one has no animations and should work for you.
Most of it is XP-related
I think people are under the impression that Deskscapes is a program that can run all by itself. They may not understand that it is an extension of Microsoft's Dreamscene and can't run without it.
IZarc is another free archive program that supports a lot of file formats.
Still need to know how it does the Background image/color, etc. You could try using this color: [Colours] ButtonFace=176 165 141 <----rgb values
And another question: is it possible to mix states in an object, i.e have the mouse away state be an image, and have the mouse over state be text? No, images and text states cannot be mixed. But you can easily turn multiple objects on and off, so you could have a text and image item sitting on top of each other and change which one is visible. You can create an image containing just the text on a transparent background, and use that for the mo
What's nice is these only take about five minutes to do. Off to the next one!
