Well I've done everything I think I can: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling before and still it needed to have 2 displays in order to work well. Now I've uninstalled again, got a new video card (radeon 9800 pro) installed 5.11 drivers with control panel (not catalyst control center) and it still has to have 2 displays in order to work properly, I've actually found now that pretty much everything having to do with object desktop is slower unless I h

Well, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling DesktopX and I thought maybe that fixed it since it seemed that Core Weather didn't have the errors anymore, but when I tried using GT3 weather and GT3 calendar again it went back to the same errors. I also tried starting them up after windows starts rather than automatically with windows and that didn't seem to make a difference. Core weather seems to be acting better, it seems right now that my only pr

They're widgets, and I have tons of stuff running when I boot, I can try running them after I boot some time. Here's an attempt at listing what runs when I boot: WindowBlinds 4.6 iTouch logitech software uGuru Stardock Central APC Windows PowerChute Keyboard Launcher Bluetooth ObjectDock Plus EarthView (Earth active wallpaper) Norton Internet Security HotSync Manager ATI Catalyst th

Desktop X 3.10.042 and Windows XP SP2, sorry, I probably should have had that in the OP. It seems to happen almost everytime I boot windows, sometimes not for some reason. I also have an issue where jscript.dll likes to become unregistered for some reason, I dunno if they're related. They don't seem to correlate though.

I'm having problems with some widgets on startup, it seems like it's the more complicated ones. When I boot my computer I used to have GT3 calendar, recycle bin, cpu meter, weather, and k-clock2 start, and they all started fine except GT3 weather and calendar. I had to clear the cache and restart them almost everytime I booted my computer or else the GT3 weather widget wouldn't display right when I expanded it, and neither would GT3 calendar. Eventu

I've had a similar problem with GT3 weather and calendar. I only have the GT3 calendar, weather, and CPU monitor loaded and I set them to start with windows, but sometimes the calendar starts but isn't visible and sometimes weather and/or calendar start and are visible, but don't seem to load all the way (there are pictures missing and the calendar won't roll down or the weather won't expand by clicking on it). Clearing the cache and restarting them

Oh wow, now I feel stupid, the drivers didn't fix it at all, it's because it activated my second display (my TV, even though it isn't on) after reinstalling and I never turned it off. When I turned off the second display it went back to being sluggish (so I guess I'll be leaving it on ) So that's the fix apparently (must be a radeon thing) just enable a second display.<

Well that fixed it, all I did was norton my registry (which probably wasn't it) and then used the catalyst uninstaller to uninstall my ATI drivers then installed the newest (5.10) ATI drivers. Thanks jweaks! I hope this fixes Vhaeos' problems too

I'm having the exact same problems (it seems to appear really just with firefox and thunderbird) with an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1gb DDR 3200 ram, A-BIT AV8 motherboard, ATI Radeon 9200 128mb video card. I'll try doing what you said jweaks, thanks, if it doesn't work I plan on getting a Radeon 9800 soon that will hopefully fix it. edit: oh yeah, windows xp sp2 also
