I've been with the "IBM clones" from day one practically, I've never owned a Mac, have used them on occasion, and frankly they just don't do it for me. I like to get into the guts, and Mac won't let you do that.

It can be very confusing at first because of all the individual programs handling their own thing. You just have to read the instructions first and if that doesn't help you, there are many people here who can help you.
