Please post your debug.err file. Thank you.

Saved games are very useful for determining the cause of freezes and other bugs. If you have custom opponents with custom logos, we can still load them, but we won't see the custom logos. Do you have any saves from before the battle? If so, please send them as well to [email protected] Thanks.
For #3, does a saved game reproduce this? If so, please email your saved game to [email protected] Thanks.
Zydor, I am having trouble reproducing the behavior in your first post even with the same scenario set up. Do you have a saved game where this was happening? In your second post, are you referring to AI ship miners or your own miners on auto-improve. Your own miners on auto-improve DO take into effect AOI, and not build in others' influences. They will build in areas that are under no one's influence.
Driver Version: 6.14.0010.8198 Driver Date: 12/10/2005 03:06:00 Hawawaa, Your video drivers are almost a year old. Please check nvidia.com for driver updates. This will help us to make sure that it is not your hardware causing any problems. We have found the source of the invislbe ships problem and are working on a
For clarification: This applies to ALL ships: When the ship enters an asteroid field, it loses all of its move points ( for example, if it had 3 left, it goes down to zero ) Ships on asteroid fields at the beginning of the turn will only be able to move 1 tile that turn. Once you move the ship out of the asteroid field, it regains all of its moves again on the next turn.
Thanks, ignuss. Those are exactly the messages I was looking for
Please do send your saved game with steps to reproduce it. I'd like to see what's going on there. Thanks.
Yep, this is a feature
It looks like a shipcfg file is failing to load properly. Please post your debug.err files if you are getting "cloaked" or invisible ships like in the screenshots above. This file will tell us what ship file is failing to load. You can locate this file at /Program Files/Stardock/TotalGaming/Galciv2/DarkAvatar Thanks.
It works. Choose 'Declare War' under Treaties and press send, it's as simple as that. It seems to be bugged though because my senate didn't get to vote on it even though I was Republic. Just made the change to make it pop up a Senate vote before war can be declared in the trade screen. Thanks for catching that one <img src="htt
Thanks for reporting this. It has been fixed for the next Dark Avatar update.
Thanks for reporting the freeze. I fixed that option this morning. Until we can get another update out, just turn the option off that ignuss described above.
Thanks for reporting this freeze-up. I took a look at the code this morning and fixed the problem. For now, just turn the "always watch players ships in full battles" off.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut SHIFT+M for automating the miners. They will prefer to mine an unmined asteroid field first before upgrading mined asteroid fields (This way they gobble up unused asteroid fields before someone else does) If the miners cannot find an unmined asteroid field, they will evaluate the asteroid fields around them and go after the one which will take the shortest amount of time to both travel to and complete the module. For example
Not all of the Arcean designs are finished yet, so some Arcean ships are borrowing other ship designs for the moment. This design looks like it has lasers, but rest assured, those lasers are purely cosmetic.
Hopefully I can clear up some of the confusion about asteroid fields and mining ships. It is INTENDED that the space miner ships are not destroyed/consumed when building or improving mining bases. If you select a mining ship and right-click an asteroid field or mining base, the ship will begin building a base or improving the existing base when it arrives. This is because the asteroid field is the ship's destination. If you set the space miner ship to go to
Mining Bases on asteroids do not count towards the starbase limit. GW Swicord is correct. They are separate object types.
Currently, the Economy and Research treaties share 10% of the civ's income or research spending with the other civ. They do not take away anything from the offering civ. You can only share your economy with one civ. Same is true for research. You do not have to share your economy with the same civ with which you share your research. These treaties are permanent until war is declared or one of the civs is eliminated. Once the deal is broken, you c
Ah, most of the logos in the game are symmetrical, which is why I never noticed that. Should be simple to fix. Thanks. So this only happens on the round logo jewelry piece, not the square one?
What components are you placing on the ship? Please check the total size that the parts are using before you save it. Is it exceeding the capacity of the hull? We found a bug after releasing the beta where certain configurations would allow you to add a component that wouldn't fit. The game will not let you use the design until your miniaturization reaches a level that allows the component to be used. Please verify if this is the same bug.&nbs
You can watch the fleet viewer for 1 ship vs. 1 ship battles too. Just change the "Battle Length" option in the Options menu to "Full Battles"
For future reference, Saved games are stored in: /My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2/
Could you add the name of the Ship Style to somewhere on the Customize Ship Style screen? That way if you load one or want to save it, you know the name of the style you're modifying/creating. That's a good suggestion, and we'll be adding the style name somewhere on the screen.
Thanks for the support Here's another screen shot of this feature in action. In this shot, the AI is using the Sky Fox template specified in its Ship Style to create its scout ship. <img alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" src="http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/
