As spoken by others (many in these forums i would think) "Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." Just had to say that as i have just posted my first military victory, and my first Metaverse score :D Great game and a really enjoyable four year game with no real suprises, even though i had the random events thing on. I think the main reason i was able to win with out any apparent problems may have been down to a good base economy and being able to stay ahead technically th

Not as yet. However Frogboy only said August, not when in August LOL. Hopefully we will hear more from them in due course... Other than Kryo it looks as if the devs have all dropped of the radar for the time being.

Thanks Dystopic. Would there be any advantage in stripping out vista and installing XP? and thanks for the heads-up. I think i will stick to the one i have ordered and shut down most of vistas stupid graphics enhancements to start with :) Oh and a 17" screen is not the most important thing to me i would rather go for a 15" version with more raw power. I think i may have just been lucky to find the Toshiba "L350" Athlon TK-57 laptop. However it is going to take up to 4 weeks for the deli

Hi Sethpenguin i share the problem that most of the people who have posted here have, that being no one i know plays the game over here in England let alone at my place of work. I tried explaining the game to a few of them and i might as well have been talking to a wall :) In the end i purchased one of the GCII t-shirts from Stardock and wore that around for a few days (yes i washed it each night  ). Wearing the t-shirt made a few of them come on here and one of them even purchased the
Has anyone figuared out how we can get the spinning parts to work on here.
The only way i can see is to save the design and also save a mp4 or similar video with a third party program. As for loading it on here i guess you would have to show the still image and link to the video as i cant see these forums allowing streaming video or iframes to show it on.

For myself i use PSP8 as i like the setup, however programs such as Paint.net (free download and use) can offer nearly as much for a new designer as can the costly mainstream alternatives. You may not get as good a job as the paid-for programs but you should be able to get a fairly good result. Good luck and let us know if yo uhave any questions on layering, alpha channels etc as i am sure we will all help you as much as possible :D LM

Looking forward to the fantasy game as that was why i left a few token over on my TGN subscription :) Next update for GCII sounds great, although on my part i would have liked the minors to have been able to colonize within system as well as from invasion. I guess i could colonize it for them and then gift it to them for loads of techs though :D
