The asteroids sound cool but actually using them and have them give a bonus to planet production really didn't amount to a hill of beans in the thick of things. Even if you stack em all on one planet. meh. I'll take the tile bonuses back, please.

While we may not all be perfect, it is worth the effort. Why do we need grammar-nazi? To keep the 1337 Uber speak from replacing English, that's why.

Umm yeah. I can go with that. Anyway, reminds me of rednecks sitting on 18-wheelers with rifles and drinking beer. I don't have to have an update but if there's room, let's do it. There's still a few screens that sometimes pop-up. Events using pics that could be from the old Gal Civ. Help. I'd nominate that.

1) Yes. Let's explain that military production is ships and social is buildings. Factorys and Factory enhncements give you more building power which can goto military or social, depending on what sliders are set to plus what you focus on or not. What it boils down to is, even on the sucky PQ planets you should have at least one to help you build the labs. On a good size planet you'll probably have plenty of factorys and a

One suggestion might be a new line of tech modules - targetting computers. Each new module will add to number of ships that can be fire upon. Pirates! have toasted every starbase and ship when they appear. It's a slaughter. It has to be the way they are coded. It seems like their ships are over and above what the most powerful military can put up at that point in time.

I'll gladly apologize for referring to you as: a little fan-boy yes-man who would do better to spend his time washing then posting on threads that are asking explicitly for an answer from the developers... Whatever. Lol. I will not deny being a Stardock fan. I also try to help people when I answer. I do NOT reply to everyone like I have her

Specialty trade goods, luxury items... countries do this all the time.. like USA and Russia, send us some Smirnoff (vodka) and we'll send over some Levi's (jeans). It's kind of hard to use that kind of analogy on alien species as there may be too many appendages to fit in jeans, or alcohol have no effect. But there are/ can be things one race make that other race wants too.

Speaking of UI suggestions.. how about a delete button for deleting custom races from previous games... I don't want the the empire I played as last time (customized) being a choice for the random opponents thing. I'd delete them entirely since I usually am so fickle its a new customization every time.

Hmm. Some people have said that it's only gotten buggier with 1.04. Is this plausible, or not? Nope. More bugs got squished with every release. More often than not, a lot of people screaming the game was buggy, never updated their video drivers. The forums bore this out. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394

Aye, I'll echo what has been said. There is no ONE winning strategy cause there can be several. Plus theres at least 4 ways to win. Keep that in mind when you make your race to play with. Pick a strategy based on how you primarily want to win. Military, Diplomacy, Reasearch, or Inluence. I'd choose some bonuses to help you achieve those ends. As well as some money makers, credits can buy you happiness or warships in a pinch. I'd also setup trade routes even if I am going military, I stil

I agree that the cap should go. For starters we don't have have an economic advisor. Also we shouldn't be forced to micromanage our economy so.

I've not seen the event, but using random opponents in DA sandbox games they have appeared as one of the races. Also, I will say they got hosed. I was playing at normal/large map/abundant all/scattered. Not by me, but the Torians no less I remember in the campaign they were bad ass, I am wondering though if something not right or Torians were lucky.

And sometimes a colonization event pops up and redetermines fate. I mean if you pick the evil choice on throwing those pukes out in the sea and get a +49% tech on this world its defititely getting some labs.
