It's pretty ginormous, but here it is. On my desktop computer, the game will almost always crash my computer. This happens either instantly once I double-click the icon and press Play Game, or sometime inbetween then and actually loading in the game. It doesn't crash on the mainscreen or once I'm in the game, but it sometimes does when I'm loading a game. Also, the sound is really weird and staticy. My computer is: a Gateway 7200-XL 1 GB RAM Pentium 4 3.4 GH (I think it's HyperThreading) DirectX 9.0

I experience a problem similar to what racerx285 experiences. I have gotten GalCiv II to run once or twice, but I have tried maybe 4-5 times. When it doesn't work, my computer does a hard restart (no shutting down). I'm pretty sure I'm at the most recent version and I have the Collector's Edition extensions installed. Sorry, I didn't really read the other posts. I updated my graphics driver to Intel Extreme Graphics 2 and it seems to be working fine.

The intro and game setup screens looks great. Unfortunately, that's as far as I got. GalCiv II consistantly crashed a second after the loading box appeared. I was using a laptop with a Celeron processor, 300-ish MB of RAM, and an integrated graphics card. Has this happened to anyone else?
