To be strictly accurate, WinCustomize is just like skinz.org when the latter first started....namely, just a skinning site created, owned and run by people who are enthusiastic about skinning. Neither had/have ALL available skin proggy sections supported. The difference now is that skinz.org died a death due to the hard working efforts of eFront, a company with ABSOLUTELY NO interest in skinning, hence the outcome of the site. With WinAMP there are not 'millions of skins', but maybe hundreds of 'skins' and thousands of 'photoskins'. Now, 'photoskins' are bad. They are the spawn of the devil, but there are none on WinCustomize. You will only find 'hand-made' WinAMP skins here. All of them are good in their own style. Wow..../me gotta have a closer look at this.... Serious arguments as to who was boss.....cpu was working overtime. I'll kill a few modules in LiteSTEP, just run the basic.....lose the scripting, and have another go.....

Well, just fired up DesktopX [current version] over 20010102 build of LiteSTEP and I now have a wall by adni, and an analogue clock. Nothing else....the 'STEP shortcuts are frozen...therefore desktop2.dll is not happy. I'll have to kill the process [in win2k] and delve a bit deeper.....where's that FM, TR?...

Well, the latest have no dolphins.....but the Bryce is live and well and attacking me with sunsets, palm trees and islands....;( Wandering through the WinAMP section was fun, too.....and not a photoskin to be seen.....the same certainly cannot be said for Winamp.com....

Deadman...I haven't run them together....but I'm willing to bet that there will be one or two issues with doing so... There are some with LiteSTEP and Hoverdesk, for example....in this case, to do with z-order....what is on top of what. I suspect desktop.dll in LiteSTEP may not be happy with DesktopX....but I will have to try it out....pull its wings off and see if it can walk...

There can be, and are issues with copyrighted images. For example, StarWars is Lucas Arts, and Star Trek is Gene Roddenberry [or his estate, to be more accurate].
