very nice Uvah !!!
^yeah i thought i might push this screenshot topic more into the upcomming halloween spirit/ mood When i looked into this topic thios morning I've assumed to find way more halloween inspired screenshots but there is nothing at all its strange to see that especially since most folks here are from the US So i start this thing with a little boney xray shot , it would be cool to slowly push towards halloween desktops
yeah i just had a short look at it only seen the 3 pictures of start didnt realy read.... thought it would have the same funtions as due to the backgrounds in the screenshots my bad
will it replace decor8 then ? JUst asking since it would need an update for windows8.1
Quoting kona0197, reply 161 You can bet that 9 will be more bloated I can't see why any reasoning being would assume that. 7 is lighter on resources than Vista and 8 is lighter than 7. It thus follows that if anything 9 will be lighter than 8...
Next windows9 size -floppy disk [e digicons][/e]
criminal please...
I still have a lot of trouble with decor on my system it just doesä not keep my color settings As soon as i reboot everything is Black again.. Also i noticed windows8.1 now has no more windows experience index thats why its smaller great stuff
Was just wondering if there were any screenshots available that someone just might want to give the community a peek at.
I wistle along with you curious about it [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Normaly yes Windows 8.1 had Syncing aswell as Skydrive enabled again after the update. But i disabled everything once more right after... Anyway i shouldn´t have had posted this issue, im not even certain its windows8.1 based... Sorry for that... didnt mean to rumble the Jungle so i deleted the unnecessary text on my last post
I agree it was bad in win8 but now its ...well not better and will not skin Folders in explorer anymore live folders on the desktop needs to be created fresh then the data of the old folder needs to be copied into the new folder . If you dare to rename that new folder to the old folders name before restarting it will flip right back to standart. [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e] Also if the Folder is inside a Fence it will not change if you apply a iconpackage<br /
I found a few minor things they made the first monitor start button visible but the secondary taskbar startbutton is still hidden. Its a bit hard to have it pop up since the charmsbar is relatively near that thing they should have left 2 pixels of space in-between them. I also face some color issues on login screen... normaly that was blue as i set it up, now its black... not that much of a problem but just saying Im not certain yet if this is due decor8 or if i
I got it for $14.99 and I like it. Matter of fact, it is and has been my default OS for weeks now. 8, and now 8.1. Stardock makes it useable. It's like a SAAB, you either like it, or you hate it. Not much middle ground.
true
NO again wrong Kona... The thing is that you first kick windows8 on the release and make a topic with the name Windows8 = EPIC FAIL while your information was based on articles in the www mainly done by folks that .... at computing Some topics in beetween that and lately there was the topic " Speaking about Windows 8" where you wrote
Yeah that would be nice if I had Windows 8.
And now you say Windows7 is
Uvah that is Windows8.1 RT it is for ARM-CPUs...and mainly used by tablets... But i would also be pissed if i would kill the preinstalled OS and couldn´t do nothing on my tablet anymore hahaha Ahh makes me glad i have none
hehe ok [e digicons]:sun:[/e] glad it works sometimes windows is strange but would be nice to know the actual problem sometimes than just having a tool that fixes stuff..
Yes its the green Store thingy normaly you do major updates via the store. Are you Admin on your system ? Is windows activated ? and are you logged into your MS account hotmail account ? If your not logged into your acount MS store will not work. If you are no Admin there will be no troubleshoot...under Store that is what the MS page says... ( dont know if thats true...) Is it only the store that does not work or other apps aswell ? Check if you
Windows 8.1 is out and yet Windows 7 is still a better OS. Imagine that.
Now this is even more hilarious than what RND said LOL
Windows8 or 8.1 ? Is Windows activated ? Are you Admin ? Make a reboot Open up START Now open Store app if there is a main problem with an app it will automatically launch the troubleshooter or give you a troubleshoot option
almost done until i think of something else
[e digicons]XO[/e] [e digicons][/e] hahaha
Nice Uvah ! I hope you dont mind since i will grab it and use it to get in the mood i didnt look for a halloween wall yet and i like it. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]:ninja:[/e]
The best example I can throw out is if you like the new Start interface that was introduced on windows8 than you benefit from quick access to a lot of information after the installation without adding anything.. Mail notification through the live modern apps. News, Bing reports, skype , Windows Messenger if you use it and Finance section. That’s pretty neat especially since you don’t have to open a single app and they all run on very very low resources. The
Agreed. Microstuff isn't finished screwing up 8 first, at least as far as making it look halfway decent. Personally I hope they keep on screwing up. This way Stardock will continue to make them look sick. IMO
Yeah they want a new Plate out ASAP, Uvah Stardock should hire you :D you do good promotion for them... I kind of smiled a little when i saw the new START MS customization in win8.1 - its... cu
