I doubt that you will see RTM windows9 before 2015... I think your source got some wrong information it was planned before they started project Blue but it was delayed in schedule after... there was only a rumoured date for a RP nothing else. Just let it run for a little more i also thought the sucker died on me since it took that long... If you have no LED for your numkey on the keyboard you could listen if the HDD is still working but as far as i know you also use a ssd so you wont hear shit :D I would wait a little more... there is always the option to revert if something goes wrong...

Just one short tip for those that upgraded and do not want any syncing done... check your charmsbar settings / PC settings - these have all been turned on again for me after the update including skydrive stuff.

Before you go and dsiable the splash /boot MB screen its only a picture that covers functionality checks and its not slowing up your boot up time to remove the Mainboard boot / splash screen 1. open up BIOS 2. navigate to "Boot" may be found under "Advanced" now use the arrow keys down and up to navigate in the list 3. look for "boot settings config" 4. Now there should be something like : "Full screen Logo" or "Display Brand fullscreen" 5.
