i would like to mention HDD´s like the WD Velociraptor 10k rpm and they run also via SATA 6G these things are big + fast and low on price and in my eyes a real option for everyone who does not want to spend 150-200USD on a 60gig drive its the best thing i have found that works nicely together with an SSD But like with the SSD´s you will need the right MB to get the performance

I love the new windows already first i hated it a bit since it looked so "phone"-y like but after testing it i must say workflow gets a boost but also you get stuck playing with this metro feature so its about equal 50/50 to windows7 at least to me - but i guess if you get more experienced on working with metro you will be working faster. I just hope that SD-Team will come up with something for windowblinds that can take control of skinning the metro star
Hello and welcome to wincustomize
[quote who="unacomn" reply="14" id="2998539"]Out of curiosity, how noticeable of a performance boost does an SSD offer if you only keep the operating system on it? Not just booting, but other day to day stuff, I'm assuming it improves page filing. I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting one, but I won't be able to afford one that can fit more than you're average OS on it. Would it still be a good investment just for that? Happy Birthday LightStar
This sounds good "automatic maintenance" Thanks for the link Doc [e digicons][/e]
isnt bing a standart IE9 addon ? at least its in the german version included...its the little page translator thing that does translate the whole page for you with one click...
windows 8 will take another huge step forward i cant wait. Thoumsin the V.A.D. looksvery alike this http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/puzzle/milo/video/6210718/project-natal-milo-e3-stage-demo-virtual-human combine that and VAD together...+ some more complex AI like the housekeeper and security system from Ironman ^^
specs about some drives of the OCZ series show that they went back and forth with the controllers so it has to be it Agility 3 uses 2281 sandforce for the vertex 2 they used the SF 1200 controller V3 is again using the 2281 controller+ the V3 has more setup options that can enhance the performance even more depending on what kind of Mboard you use.
The vertex is faster but why? It may be the architecture or better options from the Mboard i think only the manufacture OCZ could provide valid info about that... I also tried a PCI-E x4 Revodrive 3 but still i couldnt confirm that the speed depends on the controllers only but they have to play a role like u mentioned And i was almost crying when i had to give her back...
The TM looks good thanks for the screens RedneckDude, the startmenu will be changeable or already is at least thats what iam told ,you should find the option somewhere under control panel to change it- i will ask again how that works and give reply again later tonight since i would really like to see the normal SM. I think with the first beta ( not the dev ) hardware will be recognized and it should run much better and with the second beta things should be on windows 7 ni
no no your choice is still very good but the 2600k has a slight advantage and a diffrent architecture over the 960 You should be fine for that time with your setup games not heavily change in requirements these days and they wont in the near future so 3 years from now you (may) need to upgrade one thing and that would be the graphic card i used a 260gtx for long time and i could still play every game but since most games are DirectX 11 based these days i upgraded to a 560gtx like you an
why did you choose a normal I7 960 over the sandybridge ? is a riddle to me but still a nice setup im just asking since the 2600k is cheaper and faster also it has unbelievable OC possibilitys with no limitations on the multiplier Mhh tips for the start. Install win7.. then i would update graphic drivers first update windows 7 to sp1 get a fanspeed controller for your graphic card just like MSi afterburner or expert tool install antivirus software + anti malware solution c
Im sorry didnt wanted to offend anyone with my post i know it can be done in skinstudio but its more complicated for "me and much more time consuming" than double clicking *** @Phoon i normally do also but in this case i must admit i dont for me its like using ccleaner to wipe out old unused registry keys and i run fine with this method for quite long now if i had ran into any trouble or problems with updating or anything likely i wouldnt have dared to make it worth the post- b
