about a week or so ago i sent an email to [email protected] or it could have been [email protected] requesting help with my objectdesktop renewal not showing up in impulse. I renewed mu subscription for another year and yet impulse still tells me that my sub runs out on july 31 2011. It should now expire on 31 july 2012. as of now i have heard absolutely nothing from stardock except for their automat

i don't blame you for feeling frustrated DeAnna, While i cannot speak for the people who create these widgets or for stardock in any way. Can i offer an alternative?. I use yahoo widgets for my weather and it works perfectly. There are 100's of different designs to choose from. You must install the yahoo widget client in order for these to work. it's up to you but it is an alternative :). I am very sorry to hear of the problems you are having with the desktopx weather widgets. Thi

just bought nexus extreme, works far more smoothly than objectdock and loads a hell of a lot quicker as well. Far more options for customizing. The only problem i have encountered is with the recycle bin not updating the icon when you empty the bin. using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. but apart from that i am happy with it so far. well worth the money ;)

when the wincustomize home page opens up, hover you mouse over the explore button until it expands and then click customize, you should then be able to pick which galleries appear. not sure if this is only available for subscribers or not. if not hover over explore and then click explore all that should take you to the gallery page and from there you can go to the winstep page :0

I could be wrong, but shouldn't all this stuff be gamestops problem now? didn't they purchase impulse and the game side of it?. also being obnoxious when asking for help will get you NOTHING. try being polite and well mannaered and you will find more people willing to try and help you. Thats it from me.

i agree, keep it clean and keep it respectful, but when it all comes down to it, it's words on a screen and if you get to offended then maybe you need to grow a thicker skin. Bad behaviour is never acceptable but it is a part of life. So toughen up and let it slide off you.

same problem here as DavyandJane. installs and runs fine the first time. i rebooted and then as soon as i went to look at the program settings it crashed and after that the program would never load again. Uninstalled, cleaned registry. reinstalled and same problem...uninstalled and never try again, far to problematic. Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

it may be a step in the right direction, but will it really do anything to protect the little person?. More likely this bill is being set in place by pressure from the music and movie industyr to combat piracy. Theres really no money in hammering some schmuck who rips a persons work and uploads it as their own on sites like DA, But someone who downloads a few songs or movies are going to be ripped to shreds because thats where the money is. This is more about lining the pockets of lawyers and

download and install shark007's outstanding vista codecs application http://shark007.net/vistacodecpackage.html and as i notice your on 64bit install the 64bit components too http://shark007.net/x64components.html . not only will that allow you to use mpeg2, but also just about every known video and audio file format out there, and all through windows media pla

Maybe people should take the time to read the system requirements before they purchase. And follow the instructions correctly when they install what they purchased. I believe that 99.5% of problems experienced are the fault of the user and not the software. The problem is that people have no patience. If it doesn't work the first time, instead of fetching and moaning try again. Expend some effort in sorting out your own problem and learn how to use your computer and the software you have

It's great that OBL is dead, The burial at sea was so there would be no actual grave site that other followers of him could rally at. even so the man is now a martyr and while it's a good thing that he is dead, Don't for a second think that this is the end of his influence. Personally i think the american military and government would have been better off just killing the asshole and keeping it to themselves because by announcing it, while providing something for the american peop

what a surprise, another " i hate impulse" thread. But i notice that he "accepts" this from his STEAM client. How about before you decide to purchase you read the system requirements and then make a decision instead of blindly buying and then complaining. Sorry if this sounds harsh but i am getting a little tired of the fetching and moaning about impulse when it is one of the least intrusive programs i have come across. Explore the program and you will find you can even customise which tabs y

i lived with download limits for years here in australia. The so called "unlimited" internet deals here while technically true were plans that slowed down your speed once you hit a certain amount of downloaded data. One plan i had was for 100Gb a month and had peak and off peak times. The peak time was 40Gb between 9am and 4am and then 60Gb between 4am and 9am. which was pathetic. now i am on a true unlimited 8mps/384k plan with nno limits at all for $70 a month. I took years for plans like t

wow, all those who say SETI is a waste of time and money, or that we should be colonising planets ourselves first. how narrow minded are they. I am glad they don't run the country because if they did we would all still be living in caves and using sticks to light fires.
