Both Windows 7 and MacOS X Lion have their uses. But for sheer volume of software available Windows wins hands down but there are some things that MacOS does better. Either way it's a matter of choice. Myself i prefer to use Windows based computers rather than an Apple because they are far more cost effective and i refuse to pay for mediocre technology branded with a half eaten apple and charged a premium.

Driver Magician is flawed. Firstly it find incompatible drivers and says it's safe to install them. Secondly i don't know where it finds the updates but the last few times i have tried this software the drivers it downloaded have been infested with viruses and malware. A friend of mine used this software to update a driver on his PC and ended up with porn icons on his desktop and a completely trashed system requiring a complete format and reinstall of windows. Maybe i am just lucky, but i have never had a single problem with any windows updates.

impulse will still recognise any games associated with your account and you should be able to download them still. I know a few people are having problems with impulse not letting them update software if their subscription has expired and they renewed,,, impulse wont recognise the sub renewel therefore wont let you download updates. But i have heard somewhere that games work differently. Good luck mate :)

right click on an empty part of your taskbar, then click properties, when the taskbar properties window opens, check the box that says use small icons. click apply then ok and your taskbar should revert to a more XP and vista size. good luck mate ;)

Dunno why your so surprised that you are getting the old run around. The telco's have been ripping people off for years with their phone plans and charges so it makes sense that they would rort the insurance side of it too. open the windowblinds config , then click on the colours tab, then click on change skins colours, then scroll through the list until you find the item you are looking for and click change color, choose the color you want then click close window...reapply the skin to see if the changes are suitable

just tried using impulse to update desktopX to version 4 and it says that my registration is not valid... ok so i know that my sub runs out on july 31 2012 and when i check the stardock products page DX4 is not listed for download. is this what is the norm for impulse now?. everytime i load it there shows an update for WB to 7.20d but as soon as it finishes validating the registrations the update disappears. What is going on?, i thought we could continue to use impulse to update our paid for

replaced object dock on my desktop too. I have been a loyal odbject dock user for quite a few years but nexus unfortunately makes it look decidedly old and slow. If stardock do a major update on Object dock and bring it up to scratch i will more than willingly go back to it but until then i will stick with nexus.
