Q-Since updates can be downloaded like a regular patch, will i be able to download them and copy to a cd to install on my home comp which doesnt have the internet? I asked this question before in a different thread before i knew reular patches would be available too. Will i just need my cd key to download or to install? Sorry if im retarded, but im not too tech savvy. Thanks.
Yeah times are a bit rough and it might be quite a while before i get the net back. Between the lil' chilluns and the wife it is all i could do just to get her to let me buy this game I would love to be able to update it another way but i would understand if i couldnt due to piracy precautions or whatever. Im sure the core game will be more than enough to entertain me for a long time. Any thought would be appreciated. <img src="smil
Im pretty new to PC gaming and am somewhat familiar with how patches and updates work, but recently moved and now have no internet at home ( I'm at work now) Will it be possible to download patches and updates at a different cpu than the one im playing on and then maybe copy it to a cd and install it when i get there? I've never tried doing that before and im not too Comp savvy so forgive me if this is a retarded question. I just would really love the extra content and would hate to miss out on
Granted i've never played the beta, but tell me if this would be a prudent strat then: I have a few heavily armed and heavily defended capitol ships escorted by numerous cheap heavy attack low defence fighters. Since ships attack the highest threat but most easily destroyed target first, would it be safe to say the fighters would be my cannon fodder giving my capitol ships ample time to attack? Granted i would be sacrificing the fighters, but if they are cheap enough it might be wort
Lyndy62 hit it on the head. Just a walk through of the first several moves and an explanation of the various screens and their functions would have done wonders my first time. The manual is great and explains quite a bit, but is not quite the same as an in game tutorial holding your hand the first time u start up. Hi, I've been reading the forums and following the game for a while but this is my first post. After reading about Galciv2 at gamespot i was intrigued by the idea of ruling my very own galaxy with warfare, diplomacy, trade, and all that good stuff. I'm fairly new to pc gaming and have never played ANY turn based strategy game before. Being a big fan of RTS games, i really wasnt sure whether i could handle the slower pace of a TBS so i got the Galiv1 demo and was really amazed at how addicting it
