For all the silent "majority" that has experienced such major issues.... there is a vastly larger number of silent "majority" that hasn't. I guarantee you that 94.67% of users were beyond content with the product. It's easy to claim but hard to prove isnt it? Just like the simple assertions above by some posters about how "everyon

1) Space is big.... very big! This seems like a great addition to me, giving it the primary x back. 2) I always thought that No Tech Trading was a pretty lame idea.... but people asked for it... and asked for it.... and didn't stop asking for it until it implemented. The net result is clearly going to be stunted galactic technology - people get what

I disagree with the first post (and even more in the way its said!). The newer system is far far better than the old one. Before, you were not guaranteed that you had removed a part - trying to scroll round the ship to find it, the bottom equipment bar didn't always work if you deleted it off that. Given that you only ever need to put a few things onto a ship, I don't see why it becomes so completely unplayable this way. I found it much more difficult before with bigger ships - especially if you

But I have a bunch of custom species I made, and I don't want to lose those... Or are those saved some place else? Go where xFlukex said, if you look in that folder there will be files names as he said. Open them up with notepad or something and right at the top it will tell you what the name

Spearthrower: Nice logo...I use it for my desktop. Gotta love the Hubble images! It's better than the original one I had for sure - still in my pictures in my account if you want to look..... strange creature that looks like an alien! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gi

eh, the only suggestions in this thread are to wash cars. if you couldnt figure that out then you dont need to be playing this game, you should be reading the dick and jane primers. cant believe the serious responses you got to this question. the true definition of trolling if there was one. You've n

I'm disappointed to report that I won! When I came back to the game, the first turn after loading, the Altarians asked for peace..... they were having some trouble with the Yor coming in on their flanks. I turtled down with a couple of really nice planets down in the south where the Korx were spreading out.... then my evil buddies decided to snatch

I haven't had that many opportunities to fully fund the production as it is, and I think that funding would be the limiting factor were Stardock to make the changes suggested. I often run at 100% at the beginning of the game, and when the economy random event kicks in, but most other times its a challenge to fully fund as it is.

My computer is missing very exspensive parts that are needed for internet acess. Basic LAN cards probably cost about $5-10..... I'm just guessing on US prices but they are dirt cheap.... a cable will set you back $5 dollars max..... so for $10-15 you could have both easily updated Galciv2 AND internet

Yeah, get given an undeveloped planet late with best factories and it's like 9000 BC's to build one or about 2 years! Then even with one down it's still a long time to get second up and running. But at that point of the game your economy is humming. So you either buy the industrial sectors or you just

If the Yor are over-powered, why do they always die first in my games on painful? Yor... and evil races in general, seem pretty much make or break to me. Either they die out very early (Drengin/Yor/Korx) or they become a late game power. Actually, I tend to find that the Korx get strong earlier and die out mid-game.... but the Drengin and Yor f

As for your implication that I want an easy mode in which I don’t have to think or make choices; that’s just rude, and I look forward to your apology. You'll be lucky Mr Lucky..... oh.... erm.... maybe it will happen then!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALI

I happen to own the CD. I am a software developer. I CAN use a computer. Central is too much overhead for just simply updating my game. As a software developer, can you explain exactly what you mean by too much overhead? Anyway, as has been said - it's a beta patch. The final patch will

1) You can sort something out with this from Stardock I am sure. There must be a way to patch a game on a non internet connected PC. Worst comes to the worst, buy a cheap cable and connect them.... that way you get internet too! 2) Go and wash cars! I remember back in the days of yore, I think I was about 9 years old, I went out and made 50 pou
